5. Configuració
Before beginning any network cable work, ensure you have a clean, well-lit workspace. Familiarize yourself with each tool's function.
5.1. Preparing the Crimping Tool
The main crimping tool integrates cutting, stripping, and crimping functions. Identify the designated slots for each operation.
5.2. Using the Small Wire Stripper
The small black wire stripper is ideal for quickly removing the outer jacket of network cables.

5.3. Installing Batteries in the Cable Tester
The cable tester requires one AA battery (not included). Open the battery compartment on the back of the main tester unit and insert the battery, observing polarity. Close the compartment securely.
6. Instruccions de funcionament
Follow these steps to create a functional RJ45 network cable:

Figure 5: Step-by-step guide for preparing and crimping an RJ45 connector.
- Pela la funda del cable: Use the small black stripping tool (Figure 5, Step 1) or the stripping blade on the crimping tool to carefully remove approximately 2-3 cm (1 inch) of the outer jacket from the network cable. Ensure not to cut the inner wires.
- Desenrotllar i redreçar els cables: Untwist the four pairs of wires and straighten them out.
- Arrange Wires (T568B Standard Recommended): Arrange the wires according to the T568B wiring standard (or T568A if required). The T568B sequence from left to right is: White/Orange, Orange, White/Green, Blue, White/Blue, Green, White/Brown, Brown. Refer to the wiring diagram below.
- Cables de retall: Use the wire cutter (Figure 5, Step 2) or the cutting blade on the crimping tool to trim the straightened wires to a uniform length, approximately 1.2-1.5 cm (0.5 inches) from the jacket edge.
- Insert Wires into RJ45 Connector: Carefully insert the arranged and trimmed wires into the RJ45 connector (Figure 5, Step 3). Push firmly until all wires reach the front of the connector and the cable jacket is seated inside the connector body for strain relief.
- Crimpat: Place the RJ45 connector with the inserted wires into the 8P slot of the crimping tool (Figure 5, Step 4). Squeeze the handles firmly and completely until you hear a click, indicating the pins have been properly seated and crimped.
- Repeat for Other End: Repeat steps 1-6 for the other end of the cable. Ensure consistent wiring standards (e.g., T568B to T568B for a straight-through cable).
- Prova el cable: Connect both ends of the newly crimped cable to the cable tester (Figure 5, Step 7 & 9). Turn on the tester. The indicator lights on both units should illuminate in sequence (1-8, G) if the cable is wired correctly and has no faults.
6.1. RJ45 Wiring Standards (T568A and T568B)
The T568A and T568B standards define the pinout for eight-conductor modular connectors. T568B is the most common standard for new installations.

Figure 6: T568A and T568B standard line sequence diagrams for RJ45 connectors.
- T568A Sequence: White/Green, Green, White/Orange, Blue, White/Blue, Orange, White/Brown, Brown
- T568B Sequence: White/Orange, Orange, White/Green, Blue, White/Blue, Green, White/Brown, Brown
6.2. Using the Cable Tester
The cable tester verifies the continuity and correct wiring of RJ45 and RJ11 cables. Connect one end of the cable to the main unit and the other to the remote unit. Turn the switch to 'ON'. The lights will sequentially illuminate from 1 to 8 (and G for ground) on both units if the cable is correctly wired. Any skipped or out-of-sequence lights indicate a wiring fault.

6.3. Using the Wire Cutter
The included 6-inch wire cutter is designed for precise cutting of network and telephone cables. Its sharp blades ensure clean cuts.

7. Manteniment
- Neteja: After each use, wipe down all tools with a clean, dry cloth to remove any dust or debris. For stubborn grime, a slightly damp es pot utilitzar un drap, seguit d'un assecat complet.
- Lubricació: Periodically apply a small amount of light machine oil to the pivot points of the crimping tool and wire cutter to ensure smooth operation.
- Substitució de la fulla: The small stripping tool comes with spare blades. If the stripping blade becomes dull, carefully replace it using the provided spares.
- Emmagatzematge: Store the tool kit in a dry, cool place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep all components organized to prevent loss.
8. Solució De Problemes
- Cable Tester Lights Not Illuminating:
- Check if the AA battery in the main tester unit is correctly installed and has sufficient charge.
- Ensure both ends of the cable are fully inserted into the tester ports.
- Cable Tester Lights Out of Sequence or Missing:
- This indicates a wiring fault. Re-examine the cable ends for incorrect wire order, loose connections, or wires that did not fully reach the pins during crimping.
- Ensure the cable jacket is properly seated in the connector for strain relief; if not, wires can pull out.
- RJ45 Connector Not Seating Properly in Crimper:
- Ensure you are using the correct 8P slot for RJ45 connectors.
- Check for any debris obstructing the crimper slot.
- Wires Not Cutting Cleanly:
- Ensure the wire cutter blades are clean and sharp. Replace blades on the small stripper if necessary.
- Position the cable correctly in the cutting slot.
