It connects directly to your 2.4G WiFi network, providing real-time alerts and enabling smart home automation through compatible applications like Tuya Smart and Smart Life. It also supports voice control via Alexa and Google Assistant.

3.1. Instal·lació de la bateria

1. Gently open the main sensor unit to access the battery compartment.

3.2. App Download and Device Pairing

1. Download the "Tuya Smart" or "Smart Life" app from your smartphone's app store (iOS App Store or Google Play Store). You can also scan the QR code provided on the product packaging or in the manual for direct download.

2. Registra't o inicia la sessió al teu compte dins de l'aplicació.
3. Ensure your smartphone is connected to a 2.4G WiFi network. The sensor does not support 5G WiFi.
4. In the app, tap the "+" icon (usually in the top right corner) to add a new device.
5. Select "Security & Video Surveillance" > "Contact Sensor (Wi-Fi)" or search for "Door Sensor".
6. Follow the on-screen instructions to put the sensor into pairing mode (usually by pressing and holding a button on the sensor until an indicator light flashes).
7. Confirm your 2.4G WiFi network and enter the password in the app.
8. Wait for the device to connect. Once connected, you can rename the sensor for easy identification (e.g., "Front Door Sensor", "Bedroom Window").

3.3. Instal·lació física

The sensor consists of two parts: the main sensor unit and a smaller magnetic contact. These two parts must be installed close to each other (within 10mm) on a door, window, or other movable object and its frame.

1. Trieu una ubicació: Identify a suitable flat surface on your door/window and its frame where the two sensor parts can be aligned when the door/window is closed. Ensure the notch side of both parts faces each other.
2. Netegeu la superfície: Wipe the installation area clean and dry to ensure proper adhesion.
3. Aplicar adhesiu: Peel the protective paper from the back of the 3M adhesive pads and attach them to the back of both the main sensor unit and the magnetic contact.
4. Muntar el sensor:
   • Attach the main sensor unit to the fixed frame of the door/window.
   • Attach the magnetic contact to the movable part of the door/window, aligning it with the main sensor unit. Ensure the gap between the two parts is less than 10mm when the door/window is closed.
5. Optional Screw Mounting: For a more secure installation, you can use the provided screws instead of or in addition to the adhesive pads. Mark the screw holes, drill pilot holes if necessary, and secure the sensor parts.

4. Funcionament

4.1. Real-time Monitoring and Alerts

Once installed and connected, the sensor will continuously monitor the open/closed status of your door or window. You will receive instant notifications on your smartphone via the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app whenever the sensor is triggered (i.e., the door/window opens or closes).

4.2. Smart Home Automation

The XFOX Smart WiFi Door Sensor can be integrated into smart routines and automation scenarios within the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app. This allows you to link the sensor's status to other compatible smart devices.

4.3. Control per veu

The sensor is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. After linking your Tuya Smart or Smart Life account to your voice assistant, you can inquire about the sensor's status using voice commands.

5. Manteniment

5.1. Substitució de la bateria

The sensor is powered by two AAA batteries. When the battery level is low, the app may notify you, or the sensor's indicator light might behave differently. To replace batteries:

1. Obriu suaument la unitat del sensor principal.

3. Insert two new AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity. It is recommended to use high-quality, fresh batteries for optimal performance and battery life.

Note: Some users have reported that the sensor can consume batteries relatively quickly. Regular monitoring of battery status in the app is advised.

5.2. Neteja

To maintain optimal performance, occasionally wipe the sensor units with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the device.
