This manual provides detailed instructions for setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting your controller. It is compatible with USB-C devices, including iPhone 15/16/17, iPad Mini, and Android phones up to 8.2 inches (208 mm).
The controller features Hall Effect joysticks and triggers for precision, quiet microswitch buttons, and two programmable back buttons. It connects directly via USB-C for low latency and includes 15W pass-through charging and a 3.5mm audio jack.

3. Configuració
3.1 Desembalatge i inspecció inicial
Carefully remove the ELO Vagabond controller from its packaging. Inspect the controller for any signs of damage. Ensure all included accessories, such as swappable inserts, are present.

3.2 Compatibilitat de dispositius
The Vagabond controller is designed for USB-C devices only. It is compatible with:
- iPhone 15, iPhone 16, iPhone 17 (and newer USB-C iPhones)
- iPad Mini (USB-C models)
- Android phones with USB-C, up to 8.2 inches (208 mm) in width.
Note: Not compatible with Lightning devices or iPhone 14 and older models. Not compatible with full-size iPads or tablets.
3.3 Connectar el dispositiu
The controller features a telescopic bridge. Gently extend the controller to fit your device. The USB-C connector is located on the right side of the controller. Align your device's USB-C port with the controller's connector and firmly press your device into place.

The Vagabond includes swappable inserts to accommodate various phone thicknesses and cases. Select the appropriate inserts for a secure fit. If your phone has a particularly thick or uniquely shaped case, you may need to experiment with different inserts or remove the case for optimal fit.

3.4 ELO Unleashed App
Download the ELO Unleashed app from your device's app store. This app allows you to:
- Launch games directly.
- Remap buttons and back paddles.
- Manage your game library.
- Update controller firmware for new features and improvements.

The ELO Vagabond controller draws power directly from your connected device via USB-C. There is no separate battery to charge or power button. Once your device is securely connected, the controller will automatically power on and be ready for use.

4.2 Gaming with the Controller
The Vagabond controller is compatible with a wide range of games and platforms:
- Mobile Games: Play titles like Call of Duty Mobile, Genshin Impact, and thousands of other controller-supported games.

4.3 Pass-Through Charging and Audio
The controller supports 15W pass-through charging. Connect your USB-C charging cable to the port on the controller to charge your phone while you play. A 3.5mm audio jack is also available for connecting headphones for lag-free game audio and chat.

5. Manteniment
5.1 Atenció general
To ensure the longevity of your ELO Vagabond controller, follow these guidelines:

- Do not drop or subject the controller to strong impacts.
- When not in use, collapse the telescopic bridge to protect the USB-C connector and reduce its footprint for storage.
5.2 Neteja
Clean the controller regularly with a soft, dry cloth. For joysticks and buttons, a slightly damp cloth can be used, but ensure no moisture enters the internal components. For optimal performance and to maintain grip, consider using a dedicated cleaning solution for the joysticks if they accumulate dirt or residue.
6. Solució De Problemes

- Recalibrate Joysticks: Use the ELO Unleashed app to recalibrate the joysticks. This can often resolve minor drift issues.
- Clean Joysticks: Ensure no debris is obstructing the joystick movement. Refer to the Maintenance section for cleaning instructions.
6.3 Slow Pass-Through Charging
While the controller supports 15W pass-through charging, actual charging speed can vary depending on several factors:
- Charger and Cable: Ensure you are using a compatible fast charger and a high-quality USB-C cable.
