1. Introducció

This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your HECASA Flip 3-in-1 Windshield. Designed for Polaris General 1000 and General 4 1000 models, this windshield offers versatile protection and airflow control with its open, ventilated, and closed positions. Please read this manual thoroughly before installation and use to ensure proper function and safety.

3. Compatibilitat

Nota important: This windshield is NO compatible with vehicles equipped with a Rockford Fosgate stereo system or Ride Command. Please verify your vehicle's configuration before proceeding with installation.

5. Configuració i instal·lació

Professional installation is recommended for this product. The following steps provide a general guide for screw and hoop installation. Refer to the included detailed instructions for specific diagrams and torque specifications.

1. Preparar el vehicle: Park your Polaris General on a flat, stable surface. Turn off the engine and engage the parking brake.
2. Remove Sound Bar (if applicable): If your vehicle has a sound bar, remove it to access the mounting points. It is generally not necessary to remove the visor. Important: Do not reinstall the sound bar until the windshield hinges are fully installed and secured.
3. Assemble Windshield Frame: Attach the hinges and gas struts to the windshield frame according to the detailed diagrams provided in the separate instruction sheet.

4. Mount Windshield to Vehicle: Position the assembled windshield frame onto the vehicle's roll cage. Secure the frame using the provided screws and hoops. Ensure all bolts are tightened securely.
5. Install T-Bracket: Install the T-bracket under the dash. If the T-bracket slips after tightening, it may be necessary to drill a small hole through the vehicle's frame and secure the bracket with an additional bolt to prevent movement.
6. Connect Gas Struts: Attach the gas struts to the mounting clamps on the vehicle frame. Ensure the ball joints are securely seated.

7. Install Weather Stripping: Carefully install the weather stripping around the edges of the windshield. A rubber mallet can assist in seating the weatherstrip firmly. Cut out the track around the hinges, but leave the circular parts intact for proper sealing.
8. Comprovacions finals: Verify that all hardware is tight and the windshield operates smoothly through its three positions. Reinstall the sound bar if it was removed.

Note for Ride Command Users: If your Polaris General is equipped with Ride Command, you may require a 2-foot extension for your socket wrench to properly tighten bolts under the dash for the window handle mechanism.

Adjusting the Windshield:

3. Adjust the windshield to the desired position (closed, ventilated, or open). The integrated gas struts and stretch bracket assist in smooth movement and holding the position.

4. Ensure the windshield is securely latched or locked in the new position before operating the vehicle.

Nota: Some users have reported that the pull handle to close the windshield can be stiff. Ensure the mechanism is clean and properly aligned for smoother operation.

• Avoid cleaning the windshield in direct sunlight or when the surface is hot.
