1. Introducció

The KCEVE KVM Switch allows you to control two computers (one laptop and one desktop PC) using a single set of keyboard, mouse, and two HDMI monitors. This device supports dual 4K@60Hz video output, USB 3.0 data transfer, and Power Delivery (PD) up to 60W for laptops. It is designed to streamline your workspace, enabling seamless switching between systems for enhanced productivity in office, home theater, or educational environments.

The KVM switch features dedicated ports for two computers (PC1 and PC2) and two monitors (OUT A and OUT B). USB 3.0 ports are available for peripherals, and a DC 12V power input ensures stable operation.

5. Instruccions de configuració

Follow these steps to set up your KCEVE KVM Switch:

1. Connexió d'alimentació: Connect the included DC 12V power adapter to the "DC/12V" port on the KVM switch and plug it into a power outlet.
2. Connexió del monitor:
   • Connect your primary monitor to the "HD OUT A" port on the KVM switch using an HDMI cable.
   • Connect your secondary monitor to the "HD OUT B" port on the KVM switch using an HDMI cable.
3. Computer 1 (Laptop) Connection:
   • Connect a USB-C cable from your laptop's fully functional USB-C port (which supports video output and data) to the "USB-C IN" port on the KVM switch.
   • (Optional) For laptop charging, connect your laptop's Type-C charging cable to the "PD" port on the KVM switch. This provides up to 60W charging.

   Note: Ensure your laptop's USB-C port supports video output (DisplayPort Alternate Mode) for dual monitor functionality.

4. Computer 2 (Desktop PC) Connection:
   • Connect an HDMI cable from your desktop PC's HDMI output to the "HD INPUT A" port on the KVM switch.
   • Connect a DisplayPort cable from your desktop PC's DisplayPort output to the "DP INPUT B" port on the KVM switch.
   • Connect a USB 3.0 cable from your desktop PC's USB 3.0 port to the "USB3.0" port (PC2 input) on the KVM switch.

   Note: An additional USB-C to HDMI adapter might be required for certain desktop PC configurations if a DisplayPort output is not available.

5. Connexió perifèrica: Connect your USB keyboard, mouse, printer, scanner, or webcam to the "USB 3.0" ports on the front of the KVM switch.
6. Connexió remota amb cable: Plug the wired remote control into the "Wired Remote" port on the front of the KVM switch.
7. Encès: Turn on the KVM switch using the "ON/OFF" switch on the front panel.

Once all connections are made and the KVM switch is powered on, you can begin operating it:

6.1 Canviar entre ordinadors

You have two methods to switch between Computer 1 (Laptop) and Computer 2 (Desktop PC):

• Botó del panell frontal: Press the "SELECT" button on the front panel of the KVM switch. The LED indicators (PC1, PC2) will show which computer is currently active.
• Comandament a distància per cable: Press the button on the wired remote control. This allows for convenient switching from a discreet location. The remote also has LED indicators for the active computer.

6.2 Display Modes (Windows)

For Windows laptops and desktops, you can configure your dual monitors in various modes:

• Mode mirall: Both monitors display the same content.

• Splicing Wall Mode: (Advanced configuration, typically for specific applications)

To select a display mode, press "Windows + P" on your keyboard and choose the desired option.

6.3 Display Modes (Mac OS)

Mac OS laptops typically output two identical screens when connected via MST (Multi-Stream Transport) through this KVM switch. Extended display capabilities may vary based on your Mac model and OS version.

If you encounter issues with your KCEVE KVM Switch, please refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:

• Sense pantalla/pantalla parpellejant:
  • Ensure all HDMI and DisplayPort cables are securely connected.
  • Verify that the KVM switch is receiving adequate power from the DC 12V adapter.
  • Check if your monitors and cables support the selected resolution and refresh rate. Using high-quality, shorter cables (especially for 4K@60Hz or higher) can improve signal stability.
  • Try restarting the KVM switch and your computers.
  • For Windows, ensure display settings are correctly configured for extended or mirror mode (Windows + P).
• Els perifèrics USB no funcionen:
  • Ensure the USB 3.0 input cables from both computers are correctly connected to the KVM switch.
  • Try connecting the USB peripheral directly to the computer to confirm it functions independently.

  • Restart the KVM switch and reconnect the USB devices.
• Laptop Not Charging (PD):
  • Confirm that your laptop's USB-C port supports Power Delivery.

  • Verify the power adapter connected to the KVM switch is functioning correctly.
