Operating the Ball Head

1. Ball Lock Knob

The large main knob controls the movement of the ball. Turn it counter-clockwise to loosen the ball for repositioning your camera. Turn it clockwise to lock the ball securely in place. Always ensure the ball is fully locked before leaving your camera unattended.

2. Friction Control Knob

The smaller knob adjacent to the main ball lock knob adjusts the friction of the ball movement. This allows you to set a desired tension, preventing your camera from flopping over when the main lock is loosened. Turn clockwise to increase friction, counter-clockwise to decrease it. Adjust this based on the weight of your camera setup.

3. Base Panning Lock Knob

Located at the very bottom of the ball head, this knob controls the 360° rotation of the entire ball head base. Loosen it to pan the camera horizontally for panoramic shots. Tighten it to lock the base in position.

4. Clamp Panning Lock Knob

The NBBH3 features an additional 360° panning mechanism directly under the quick release clamp. This allows for precise adjustments without disturbing the main ball head position. Loosen this knob to rotate the clamp independently, and tighten to lock it.
