Introducció

The Tapo H500 HomeBase serves as the central control unit for your smart home ecosystem, designed to unify and manage a wide range of Tapo smart devices. This hub provides extensive local storage capabilities, advanced AI features for connected cameras, and flexible viewing options, all while ensuring data privacy and security. It connects and controls up to 16 Tapo cameras and 64 Tapo Sub-G sensors, offering a comprehensive solution for home monitoring and automation.

Configuració

1. Contingut del paquet

2. Physical Placement and Connections

Place the Tapo H500 in a central location within your home to ensure optimal signal strength for all connected devices. Ensure it is near a power outlet and, if using a wired connection, near your router.

3. Tapo App Installation and Initial Setup

The Tapo H500 is managed through the Tapo app. Download the app from your mobile device's app store (App Store for iOS, Google Play Store for Android).

• Follow the app's instructions to pair your devices with the H500. For sensors, manual synchronization may be required if migrating from an older hub.

5. Installing a 2.5'' SATA HDD/SSD (Optional)

The Tapo H500 supports expandable storage via a 2.5'' SATA HDD/SSD (sold separately) for increased recording capacity beyond the built-in 16GB.

1. Power off the Tapo H500 and disconnect it from the power source.
2. Locate the SATA drive bay on the device (refer to the quick start guide for exact location).
3. Carefully insert the 2.5'' SATA HDD/SSD into the bay, ensuring it is properly seated.

• Access recordings without cloud subscriptions.

4. Flexible Viewing Opcions

  • Ensure good lighting and clear views for the camera.
• SATA Drive Not Recognized:
  • Ensure the drive is properly seated and secured in the bay.
  • Check if the drive requires formatting via the Tapo app.
  • Verify the drive is a compatible 2.5'' SATA HDD/SSD.
