Setup and Mandrel Replacement

The GOWENIC rivet nut tool allows for quick and easy mandrel and nose end replacement without specialized tools, using the included wrench.

1. Select Correct Mandrel and Rivet Nut Head: Choose the mandrel and corresponding rivet nut head that matches the size of the rivet nut you intend to install (e.g., M6 mandrel for M6 rivet nuts).
2. Remove Existing Mandrel (if applicable):

   • Use the provided wrench to unscrew the mandrel rod from the tool.

   • Screw the selected mandrel rod into the tool clockwise until it is finger-tight.

3. Insert Rivet Nut: Insert the rivet nut into the pre-drilled hole in your workpiece.
4. Operate Tool: Firmly squeeze the handles of the rivet nut tool together. You will feel resistance as the rivet nut deforms and clamps onto the material. Continue squeezing until the rivet nut is fully set and you feel a distinct stop or a slight give.
