9. Solució De Problemes
9.1. How to add my camera to a new Imou account?
For security reasons, a camera can only be bound to one Imou account at a time. To add it to a new account, you must first delete it from the previous account.
Methods to delete camera from your account in the mobile app:
- Mètode 1: Aneu al preview page, click the gear icon on the top right corner, go to device settings page, slide to the bottom, then select 'Delete Device'.
- Mètode 2: Click 'Me' > 'My Device' > select corresponding device > slide to the bottom > 'Delete Device'.
9.2. How to connect my camera to a new Wi-Fi network?
- First, check whether your camera has an Ethernet port and whether you have an Ethernet cable at hand.
- If yes, power on your camera and connect it to your router with an Ethernet cable. Wait until the LED turns steady blue to indicate it has access to the Internet. Then log into your Imou account, find your IPC on the "Device" page, and go to its settings page. Then tap "Wi-Fi Config" and you can connect it to your new Wi-Fi.
- If your camera has no Ethernet port or you don't have a cable, we suggest you reset your camera to factory default, then set up your camera with the new Wi-Fi.
9.3. How can I receive alarm messages?
- First, you need to click the enable button in the upper right corner in the picture of the channel of the main page.
- If it says "Failed to subscribe", we suggest you ensure the following configuration: Receives notifications from App. Enable Imou Notifications via "Settings"->"Notifications" on your iPhone and "Me" -> "Settings" -> "Notice" on Imou App.
- Enable Event in the device. Take motion detection as an example, the event should be enabled and time schedule should be valid.
- Make sure the device is connected to the Internet.
- After successfully subscribing, you will receive the message.
9.4. Working at night, the image is all black?
Motiu:
- IR LED didn't light up;
- ICR didn't switch to night mode;
- Objects are too far away from the camera.
Solució:
- If the IR LED did light up, but you cannot hear "KA" and the image is still all black, there might be something wrong with the ICR.
- For consumer cameras, the IR distance is less than 10m (different between different models), so you cannot see too far away at night.
9.5. Difference between SD memory card and cloud storage?
Using an SD card requires you to manually manage the history monitoring screen. When the memory card is full, it will automatically delete and start a new round of recording, so make sure to save the data in time. Cloud storage is a value-added service, and new devices typically receive a 7-day free trial. During the trial, you can view the history monitoring screen directly in the app. After the trial, you can subscribe to continue the service. There is a time limit for using this service; if the trial period is 3 or 7 days, records will be automatically deleted and a new round started, so save data in time.
9.6. The app says "Failed to bind"?
When the app says "Failed to bind", it means your device is already successfully connected to your Wi-Fi, but failed to add the device to your Imou account. Please double-check whether your router is connected to the Internet, then try again. Normally, the reason is an unstable Internet connection.
