Nota important:

This dash cam is not available for versions without a large rear view mirror cover. Please verify your vehicle's specific configuration before installation.

Identifying the Correct Model

To ensure you have the correct dash cam model for your vehicle, follow these steps:

1. Provide your vehicle's model and year.
2. Refer to the image below and take a photo of your vehicle's rearview mirror area from a similar angle.
3. Send the photo and vehicle information to the seller for confirmation.

For 2017-2018 RAV4 models, identify the correct model based on the presence of a large cover and specific part numbers:

For Toyota RAV4 2019-2021, the dash cam is compatible with models without a vent hole. For Toyota RAV4 2022-2024, it is compatible with models with a vent hole.

The Fitcamx Dash Cam is designed for a plug-and-play, non-destructive installation. It integrates seamlessly with your vehicle's existing rearview mirror cover for an OEM look.

The dash cam takes power from the ACC sensor. The default cable provided is a plug-and-play type. If you require a fuse box cable or OBD cable, please contact the seller before shipment.

Installation involves removing the original rearview mirror cover and replacing it with the dash cam unit. This process is quick and straightforward.

1. Push the shell of the original car forward with both hands to separate it from the base.
2. Carefully pick off the small rear cover using the provided pry tool.
3. Transfer two small buckles from the original cover to the dash camera unit.
4. Pull out the original power plug from the vehicle.
5. Insert the power plug of the dash camera into the vehicle's connector.
6. Push forward and install the dash camera unit into place.
7. Put the small rear cover back onto the dash camera unit.

4.3 Rear Camera Installation (for Dual Cam models)

The 1080P 360° rotation rear camera can be mounted on the rear windshield or facing the cabin, depending on your preference.

The rear camera connects to the front camera via a dedicated cable. Route the cable discreetly along the vehicle's interior trim to the desired mounting location for the rear camera.

5.1 Funcionament automàtic

The dash cam is designed for automatic operation. It will automatically turn on when your car starts and turn off when your car is powered down. You do not need to manually connect to the camera's WiFi or open the app every time you drive for basic recording functionality.

5.2 Mobile App Connection and Features

The Fitcamx dash cam connects to a mobile application (available for Apple iOS & Android) via Wi-Fi (2.4Ghz) for advanced features such as live preview, descàrrega, edició i compartició de vídeos.

7.1 Problemes de connexió

Problem: Apple iPhone connection failed

• Solució 1: Turn off Cellular Data in your phone settings, then connect to the dash cam's WiFi.
• Solució 2: If your phone is connected to CarPlay, turn off Bluetooth, then connect to the camera's WiFi.
• Solució 3: Ensure the App has album and network permissions enabled. (Album permission is only for saving videos/pictures to your phone).

Problem: Android phone connection failure

• Solució 1: After connecting to the camera's WiFi, if prompted that you can't access the Internet, click "Keep WLAN Connection".
• Solució 2: Close Mobile Data first, then connect to the camera's WiFi.

Problem: Cannot connect 2 phones at the same time

• Solució: The WiFi supports connecting only one phone at a time. To connect another phone, disconnect the first phone's WiFi connection.

Problem: Cannot find the WiFi network

• Solució 1: Remove the memory card and then search for WiFi. A faulty memory card can prevent the camera from broadcasting WiFi.

Problem: APP video file is empty, no video is loaded

• Solució 1: Open the App settings to format the memory card, then record video.
• Solució 2: If the App album is still empty, insert the memory card into a computer to check for damage or incompatibility. Replace the memory card if necessary.

Problem: Computer playback is not smooth, especially for 4K videos

• Solució 1: We recommend using PotPlayer or KMplayer for video playback.
• Solució 2: If your computer's specifications are too low, it may struggle with smooth playback, particularly for 4K resolution videos.

Problem: Timestamp is wrong, no recorded video during some periods, or video only records when phone is connected

• Solució: This can occur after a complete power failure (e.g., car repair, maintenance, battery replacement). Reconnect the camera's WiFi with your phone to synchronize the camera's time. Regularly check that the camera is working properly.

Problem: Forgot WiFi name or password

• Solució: Press and hold the camera key for 20 seconds, or use a paperclip to press the reset button to restore factory settings.
