To set up your Xiaomi Water Immersing Sensor, follow these steps:
- **Prerequisites:** The sensor requires a Bluetooth gateway or Bluetooth Mesh gateway to function with the Mi Home app and provide remote alerts. Ensure you have one set up and connected to your network.
- **Install Mi Home App:** Download and install the Xiaomi Mi Home application on your smartphone from your device's app store.
- **Add Device:**
- Open the Mi Home app.

Instruccions de funcionament
Once the sensor is successfully set up and connected to your Bluetooth gateway and Mi Home app, it will continuously monitor for water leaks.
- **Water Leak Detection:** The sensor will detect water when its metal probes come into contact with liquid.
- **Remote Alerts:** Upon detection, the Mi Home app will send a remote alert to your smartphone, notifying you of the water leakage.
- **Xiaomi AI Speaker Linkage:** The sensor can be linked with a Xiaomi AI speaker to provide voice reminders and send reminder messages to your mobile phone when water overflow is detected.
- **Smart Automation:** For advanced functionality, the sensor can be integrated with a solenoid water valve and a Mijia smart socket (sold separately) to automatically shut off the water supply when a leak is detected.

- **Battery Replacement:** The sensor is powered by a CR2032 coin cell battery. When the battery level is low, the Mi Home app will notify you. To replace the battery, gently open the sensor casing, remove the old battery, and insert a new CR2032 battery with the correct polarity.

- Ensure you have a Bluetooth gateway or Bluetooth Mesh gateway properly set up and connected. The sensor cannot connect directly to the app without a gateway.
