4. Configuració

4.1. Alimentació del dispositiu

Connect the provided USB cable to the Micro USB power input on the RM4 mini and plug the other end into a 5V DC, 1A power adapter (not always included, check package contents). Ensure the device is placed in a central location within the room to maximize IR coverage.

4.2. Instal·lació de l'aplicació

Download the BroadLink App from your smartphone's app store (available on App Store for iOS and Google Play for Android).

4.3. Vinculació de dispositius

The RM4 mini supports two setup modes: Smart Setup and AP Setup.

1. Smart Setup (Recommended): When the device LED flashes quickly (5 times/sec), it is in Smart Setup mode. Follow the in-app instructions to add the device.
2. AP Setup: If Smart Setup fails, you can use AP Setup. To enter AP Setup mode, press and hold the reset button using a needle for 5 seconds until the LED flashes intermittently. Follow the in-app instructions.

4.4. HTS2 Sensor Connection (Optional)

If you have the HTS2 temperature and humidity sensor cable, connect it to the RM4 mini. The temperature and humidity data will be displayed automatically in the BroadLink App once the universal remote is successfully added to your network.

5.1. Adding Appliances

The BroadLink App features a large IR code database covering over 50,000+ IR controlled appliances (TV, STB, DVD, Air Conditioner, Audio, PVR, etc.).

• Cloud IR Code Update: The database updates automatically on the cloud.
• One-Button Match: For many popular brands, you can use the one-button match feature to quickly add your appliance.
• Manual Learning IR Code: If your appliance model is not available in the database, the RM4 mini supports a learning function, allowing you to manually teach it commands from your original remote controller.

5.2. Integració del control per veu

The RM4 mini works with Google Home and Amazon Alexa. Once your IR devices are configured in the BroadLink App and accessible from external networks, you can discover them in your smart assistant app for voice control. For example, you can say, "Alexa, turn on the TV" or "Hey Google, set the AC to 24 degrees."

5.3. Timers and Scenes

Create multiple timers and scenes within the BroadLink App to automate your home appliances according to your living habits. For instance, you can set your air conditioner to turn on or off at regular intervals.

5.4. Control remot

Control your home appliances from anywhere using your mobile phone. This allows you to turn devices on/off or check their status in real-time, even when you are not at home.

5.5. Temperature and Humidity Induction (with HTS2 Sensor)

Utilize the HTS2 external sensor to achieve IFTTT (If This Then That) automation. For exampLI:

• IF Temperature rises, THEN Turn on the air conditioner.
• IF Humidity lowers, THEN Turn on the humidifier.

7. Solució De Problemes

• Cannot add the device in the App:
  - Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz.
  - Verify that your Wi-Fi password contains no more than 32 non-special characters.
  - Avoid having too many devices on your network (typically no more than 15, including phones, tablets, and laptops).
• Cannot find the device in Alexa and Google Home App:
  - Remember that Alexa and Google Home recognize sub-devices (IR devices) controlled by the RM4 mini, not the universal remote itself.
  - Make sure the IR devices can be controlled from external networks in the BroadLink App before attempting to discover them in Alexa or Google Home.
