CNMAWAY WK608

WK608 PWM DC Motor Speed Regulator

Manual d'usuari

Model: WK608 | Brand: CNMAWAY

1. Introducció

The WK608 is a Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) DC motor speed regulator designed to control the speed of various DC motors. It accepts an AC input voltage and provides a variable DC output, making it suitable for applications requiring precise speed control for DC servo motors, PM DC motors, and DC spindle motors.

3. Configuració i cablejat

Before connecting, ensure the power supply is disconnected. Incorrect wiring can damage the device or connected components.

  1. Identificar terminals: Locate the terminal block on the WK608 unit. It has sections labeled 'Power Input', 'Motor Excitation', and 'Speed'.
  2. Close-up of WK608 terminal block

Figura 3: Primer pla view of the terminal block showing Power Input, Motor Excitation, and Speed connections.

  3. Connect AC Power Input: Connect your 220VAC power supply to the 'Power Input' terminals labeled 'L' and 'N'. Ensure proper polarity if specified by your power source, though for AC, it's typically interchangeable.
  4. Connect DC Motor: Connect your DC motor to the 'Motor Excitation' terminals labeled 'M+' and 'M-'. 'M+' should connect to the positive terminal of your motor, and 'M-' to the negative. Reversing these connections will reverse the motor's direction.
  5. Connect Speed Control Potentiometer: The WK608 comes with a pre-wired potentiometer for speed control. Connect the three wires from the potentiometer to the 'Speed' terminals. The potentiometer typically has three pins: two for the supply voltage (usually 5V or 3.3V from the controller) and one for the variable output signal. Refer to the wiring diagram below for typical connections.

Safety Note: Always ensure all connections are secure and insulated to prevent short circuits. If you are unsure about any wiring, consult a qualified electrician.

4. Instruccions de funcionament

  1. Encès: After ensuring all connections are correct and secure, connect the 220VAC power supply to the WK608.
  2. Ajustar velocitat: Use the rotary knob on the connected potentiometer to adjust the motor speed. Turning the knob clockwise will typically increase the motor speed, while turning it counter-clockwise will decrease it.
  3. Monitor Motor Behavior: Observe the motor's operation to ensure it is running smoothly and at the desired speed. The WK608 uses PWM technology to efficiently control motor speed.
  4. Apagar: To stop the motor, turn the potentiometer to its minimum setting and then disconnect the main power supply to the WK608.

5. Manteniment

  • Mantingueu la unitat neta i lliure de pols i deixalles. Feu servir un drap suau i sec per netejar-la.
  • Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit to prevent overheating, especially during prolonged operation at high loads.
  • Periodically check all wiring connections to ensure they are tight and free from corrosion.
  • Eviteu exposar la unitat a la humitat o a temperatures extremes.

6. Solució De Problemes

Problema Causa possible Solució
Motor does not start or respond. No power to the regulator; incorrect wiring; faulty motor; potentiometer at minimum setting. Check AC power input; verify all wiring connections (Power, Motor, Speed); test motor independently; rotate potentiometer.
Motor speed is erratic or unstable. Loose connections; motor overload; faulty potentiometer. Secure all connections; ensure motor load is within specified limits (10-500W); test or replace potentiometer.
Regulator unit feels excessively hot. Insufficient ventilation; motor drawing too much current (overload). Ensure proper airflow around the unit; reduce motor load; verify motor current draw is within 8A limit.

7. Consells d'usuari

  • For optimal performance, ensure the motor you are controlling is within the recommended power range of 10-500W.
  • Always double-check wiring before applying power to prevent damage to the regulator or motor.
  • Consider mounting the regulator in an enclosure that allows for good airflow to dissipate heat, especially if operating at higher loads for extended periods.
