5. Instal·lació i configuració

The YJ2N-LY relay is designed for easy installation, typically into a compatible 8-pin relay socket. Ensure the socket is securely mounted before inserting the relay.

5.1 Diagrama de pins

Refer to the bottom view diagram for correct pin identification and wiring. The coil terminals are typically pins 7 and 8. The contact pins are numbered 1 through 6, forming two independent changeover contact sets.

5.2 Instruccions de cablejat

  1. Identify Coil Terminals: Pins 7 and 8 are the coil terminals. Apply the rated control voltage (AC or DC, as per your relay model) across these pins to energize the relay. For DC models, ensure correct polarity if indicated (e.g., 7(-) and 8(+)).
  2. Identify Contact Terminals: The relay has two sets of changeover contacts. Each set consists of a Common (C), Normally Open (NO), and Normally Closed (NC) terminal. Refer to the specific pin numbering on your relay for exact assignments (e.g., 1-2-3 for one set, 4-5-6 for the other).
  3. Connectar càrrega: Connect your controlled circuit's load to the appropriate contact terminals (NO or NC) and the common terminal.
  4. Connexions segures: Ensure all wire connections are tight and properly insulated to prevent short circuits or loose connections.
  5. Insert Relay: Carefully align the relay pins with the socket and push firmly until it is fully seated.

6. Funcionament

Once the relay is correctly installed and wired, apply the specified control voltage to the coil terminals (pins 7 and 8). When the coil is energized, the internal contacts will switch state (Normally Open contacts will close, Normally Closed contacts will open). The integrated indicator light will illuminate when the coil is energized, providing visual confirmation of the relay's active state. When the control voltage is removed, the coil de-energizes, and the contacts return to their original state.

7. Manteniment

The Zusen YJ2N-LY relay is a sealed unit and requires minimal maintenance. However, periodic inspection is recommended to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

  • Inspecció visual: Regularly check the relay and its socket for any signs of physical damage, discoloration, or loose connections.
  • Neteja: If dust or debris accumulates on the relay or socket, gently clean it with a dry, soft cloth. Do not use solvents or abrasive cleaners.
  • Contact Integrity: While the contacts are sealed, ensure the load current does not exceed the rated values to prevent premature wear or welding of contacts.
  • Condicions ambientals: Verifiqueu que l'entorn operatiu es mantingui dins dels rangs de temperatura i humitat especificats.

8. Solució De Problemes

ProblemaCausa possibleSolució
Relay does not energize (no click, indicator light off)Sense control voltage to coil, incorrect coil voltage, faulty wiring, damaged coil.Comprovar control voltage supply. Verify coil voltage matches relay specification. Inspect wiring for breaks or loose connections. Replace relay if coil is damaged.
Relay energizes but contacts do not switch (or switch intermittently)Excessive load, worn contacts, faulty contacts.Ensure load current is within rated limits. Replace relay if contacts are worn or faulty.
Indicator light does not illuminate when coil is energizedFaulty indicator light, incorrect coil voltage.Verifica el volum de la bobinatage. If relay functions correctly otherwise, the indicator light may be faulty (does not affect relay operation).
Relay remains energized after control voltage is removedContacts welded, residual magnetism, faulty coil.Disconnect power immediately. Replace relay. Ensure load current is not exceeding ratings.

9. Consells d'usuari

  • When selecting a relay, always consider both the coil voltage (AC or DC) and the contact configuration (e.g., 2C) to match your application's needs.
  • For applications requiring frequent switching, ensure the relay's electrical durability rating is sufficient to prevent premature failure.
  • If using the relay with an inductive load, consider adding a snubber circuit or diode across the load to protect the relay contacts from arcing and extend its lifespan.
