Introducció

This manual provides instructions for the setup, operation, and maintenance of your PROTMEX Professional Weather Station. This 8-in-1 device is designed to provide comprehensive weather data, including temperature, humidity, rainfall, wind speed, wind direction, and air pressure, along with a colorful LCD display featuring calendar, date, alarm, and weather forecast functions.

Your weather station consists of two main units: the indoor display console and the outdoor multi-sensor unit.

Indoor Display Console:

Instruccions de configuració

1. Powering the Units:

1. Indoor Display Console:
   • Insert 2 x LR6 AA 1.5V batteries into the battery compartment.
   • Connect the power adapter (DC5V1.2A) to the console for continuous power.
2. Outdoor Multi-Sensor Unit:
   • Insert 3 x LR6 AA 1.5V batteries into the battery compartment.
   • The solar panel will help extend battery life but does not fully power the unit.

2. Placement of the Outdoor Sensor:

• Choose an open area for the outdoor sensor to ensure accurate readings for wind, rain, temperature, and humidity.
• Ensure the sensor is mounted securely and level to accurately measure rainfall.
• The transmission range is up to 100 meters (300 feet) in an open area. Walls and floors can reduce this range.

3. Initial Synchronization:

• Once both units are powered, they should automatically synchronize.
• If data does not appear on the indoor display, refer to the Troubleshooting section.

Comprehensive weather data displayed on the indoor console.

• Pronòstic del temps: Provides a forecast for approximately the next 12 hours based on atmospheric pressure changes.

• Velocitat i direcció del vent: Displays current wind speed (km/h or mph) and direction (0-359 degrees). Historical data for wind speed and direction can be viewed for the past 30 seconds, past hour, 24 hours, 7 days, or several years.

• Precipitacions: Shows cumulative rainfall for the past 30 minutes or average rainfall per hour in the past 12 hours. Historical rainfall data can be viewed for the past 30 minutes, 1 hour, 24 hours, 7 days, the past year, or total from boot.

• Temperatura i humitat: Displays indoor and outdoor temperature (Celsius/Fahrenheit) and humidity (%).
• Pressió de l'aire: Shows current air pressure in hPa, inHg, or mmHg.
• Hora i data: Current time and date display.
• Funció d'alarma: Set multiple alarms for weekdays and weekends. Each alarm supports a snooze function (adjustable from 5 to 60 minutes).

• Data Record & Trend: The station records and displays trends for various weather parameters.
• Chill Temperature, Heat Index, Dew Point Temperature: Advanced measurements for comprehensive weather analysis.

Transmissió sense fils:

The outdoor sensor transmits data to the indoor display console using a 433.92MHz RF frequency. Ensure the units are within the 100-meter (300 feet) transmission range, keeping in mind that obstacles like walls and floors can reduce this distance.

The indoor display console features a USB charging function, allowing you to charge compatible devices.

Manteniment

• Substitució de la bateria: Replace batteries in both units when the low battery indicator appears on the display. Ensure correct battery type and polarity.
• Neteja del sensor exterior: Periodically check the rainfall collector and wind sensors for debris (leaves, dirt, insects) and clean them gently to ensure accurate readings.
• Panell solar: Keep the solar panel on the outdoor unit clean to maximize its efficiency in extending battery life.

• Battery Selection for Outdoor Sensor: The wireless remote sensor operates in a wide temperature range (-30°C to +70°C). For optimal performance in extreme cold, consider using Polymer lithium-ion rechargeable batteries, which can function from -40°C to +70°C. Standard Alkaline zinc-manganese batteries are suitable for temperatures between -20°C and +60°C.
• Col·locació òptima: For the most accurate wind and rain measurements, ensure the outdoor sensor is installed in an elevated, unobstructed location, away from buildings, trees, and other structures that could block wind flow or rainfall.
• Intensitat del senyal: If experiencing intermittent data, try to minimize physical barriers (walls, floors) between the outdoor sensor and the indoor display unit.

• The PROTMEX Professional Weather Station comes with a 12-month manufacturer's limited warranty for defective items. This warranty does not cover items damaged or misused after receipt.
• Accessories included with the weather station are covered by a 3-month warranty.
• To claim warranty service, defective items must be reported and returned within the warranty period, preferably in their original packaging. Please provide your order number and a description of the defect.
