4. Instruccions d'instal·lació
Installation should only be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with local electrical codes and regulations. Ensure power is disconnected before beginning installation.
- Muntatge: The circuit breaker is designed for installation on a symmetrical 35mm DIN rail. Align the clips on the back of the breaker with the DIN rail and press firmly until it clicks into place.
- Cablejat: Refer to the wiring diagram printed on the device and the detailed component diagram below. Connect the neutral (N) and live (L) wires to the appropriate wiring terminals. Ensure all connections are secure by tightening the screws. The terminal connection height is H1=16mm and H2=21mm.
- Conductor Capacity: Use flexible conductors up to 10mm² or rigid conductors up to 16mm².
- Verificació: After wiring, double-check all connections for correctness and tightness before restoring power.

5. Funcionament
- Activació / desactivació: The operating handle (red lever) controls the circuit. Push it up to the 'ON' position to close the circuit and supply power. Push it down to the 'OFF' position to open the circuit and cut power.
- Estat disparat: If the circuit breaker trips due to an overload, short-circuit, or leakage current, the operating handle will move to an intermediate position or fully to 'OFF'. The window indication may also change color (e.g., from green to red) to indicate a fault.
- Restabliment: To reset a tripped breaker, first move the operating handle fully to the 'OFF' position, then push it up to the 'ON' position. If the breaker immediately trips again, do not force it. Investigate the cause of the trip.
- Botó de prova: A 'test monthly' button (typically orange or yellow) is located on the front of the device. Pressing this button simulates an earth fault and should cause the breaker to trip. This confirms the leakage protection mechanism is functioning correctly.
6. Manteniment
The EARU Residual Current Circuit Breaker requires minimal maintenance. The most important maintenance task is regular testing:
- Prova mensual: Press the 'test monthly' button on the front of the device at least once a month. The breaker should trip immediately. If it does not trip, the device may be faulty and should be replaced by a qualified electrician.
- Inspecció visual: Periodically inspect the circuit breaker for any signs of physical damage, discoloration, or loose connections. Any issues should be addressed by a qualified professional.
7. Solució De Problemes
If your circuit breaker is not functioning as expected, consider the following:
- L'interruptor es dispara immediatament després del reinici: This indicates a persistent fault in the circuit. Do not repeatedly reset the breaker. Common causes include:
- Sobrecàrrega: Too many devices drawing power from the circuit. Disconnect some devices.
- Short-Circuit: Una connexió directa entre cables de fase i neutre, o de fase i terra. Això requereix una investigació immediata per part d'un electricista.
- Earth Fault/Leakage: Current leaking to earth, often due to damaged insulation or faulty appliances. Disconnect appliances one by one to identify the faulty one.
- Breaker Does Not Trip When Test Button is Pressed: The leakage protection mechanism may be faulty. The device should be replaced immediately by a qualified electrician.
- No hi ha alimentació al circuit, l'interruptor està encès: Check upstream circuit breakers or fuses. Ensure all wiring connections to the RCBO are secure.
For any persistent issues or if you are unsure about the cause of a fault, consult a qualified electrician.
8. Consells d'usuari
- Always verify the specific model number and its stated protections (e.g., short circuit, overload, leakage) upon receipt to ensure it matches your requirements.
- Regularly performing the monthly test is crucial for ensuring the earth leakage protection is active and reliable.
- If the breaker trips frequently, it's a sign of an underlying electrical issue that needs professional attention, not just a nuisance trip.
