3. Configuració i instal·lació

Before installation, ensure your system meets the compatibility requirements outlined below.

3.1 Requisits del sistema

  • Suport de la placa base: The motherboard must support the PCI-E split function (e.g., PCI-E X4X4X4 or 4X4 mode). Some motherboards may also require support for PCI-E RAID functionality. Refer to your motherboard's manual or manufacturer's website for specific details (e.g., ASUS HyperM.2X16 expansion card support, ASRock Ultra Quad M.2 Card support).
  • Suport de CPU: The CPU must have sufficient PCI-E channels to support the desired configuration. Low-end CPUs may have limited PCI-E channels and might not fully support multiple M.2 SSDs. Consult your CPU specifications.
  • Available PCI-E Slot: An available PCI-E x8 or x16 slot is required.

3.2 Installing M.2 NVMe SSDs on the Card

  1. Carefully align your M.2 NVMe SSD with the M.2 slot on the PH45 card. The card supports M KEY hard disks of various lengths (2230, 2242, 2260, 2280, 20110).
  2. Insert the SSD firmly into the slot at an angle.
  3. Gently push down the SSD and secure it with the appropriate mobile stud and screw provided in the package. Ensure the SSD is seated correctly and securely.

3.3 Installing the PH45 Card into the Motherboard

  1. Power off your computer and disconnect all power cables.
  2. Obriu la caixa de l'ordinador.
  3. Locate an available PCI-E x8 or x16 slot on your motherboard.
  4. If necessary, remove the corresponding expansion slot cover from your computer case.
  5. Align the PH45 card's PCI-E x8 interface with the motherboard's PCI-E slot.
  6. Press down firmly and evenly on the card until it is fully seated in the slot.
  7. Secure the card to the chassis with the provided chassis screw. If using a low-profile case, replace the full-height baffle with the included half-height baffle.
  8. Tanqueu la carcassa de l'ordinador i torneu a connectar tots els cables d'alimentació.

4. Instruccions de funcionament

Once installed, your operating system should detect the new M.2 NVMe SSDs. You may need to initialize and format the drives through Disk Management (Windows) or Disk Utility (macOS/Linux) before they can be used.

4.1 Configuració RAID

If your motherboard supports PCI-E RAID, you can configure the installed M.2 NVMe SSDs into a RAID array (e.g., RAID 0 for performance, RAID 1 for redundancy) through your motherboard's BIOS/UEFI settings. Refer to your motherboard's manual for detailed instructions on setting up RAID.

4.2 Indicadors d'estat

The PH45 card features LED indicators to show its working status. When the card is powered on, the indicators will be continuously lit. During read and write operations to the installed SSDs, the indicators will flash.

5. Manteniment

The PH45 card is designed for durability and stable operation. No specific user maintenance is required beyond ensuring proper airflow within your computer case to prevent overheating. Keep the card free from dust and moisture. Avoid touching the gold contacts directly to prevent static discharge or corrosion.

6. Solució De Problemes

  • SSDs Not Detected:
    • Motherboard PCI-E Split Function: Ensure your motherboard's BIOS/UEFI settings have the PCI-E split function enabled and configured correctly (e.g., X4X4X4 or 4X4 mode). Without this, the motherboard may only recognize one or none of the M.2 SSDs.
    • PCI-E RAID Function: If you intend to use RAID, confirm that the PCI-E RAID function is enabled in your motherboard's BIOS/UEFI.
    • CPU PCI-E Channels: Verify that your CPU has enough available PCI-E channels. Lower-end CPUs might not support the full bandwidth required for two NVMe SSDs.
    • Shared PCI-E Channels: Many motherboards share PCI-E channels between different slots or onboard devices. If the system cannot recognize all M.2 SSDs, try removing other PCI-E devices (e.g., graphics cards, other expansion cards) or moving the PH45 card to a different PCI-E slot.
    • SSD Seating: Re-seat the M.2 NVMe SSDs on the PH45 card and ensure the PH45 card is fully seated in the motherboard's PCI-E slot.
  • Rendiment lent:
    • PCI-E Version: Ensure the PH45 card is installed in a PCI-E slot that supports the highest possible version (PCI-E 4.0 for optimal performance, if your system supports it).
    • Instal·lació del controlador: Ensure the latest NVMe drivers are installed for your operating system and SSDs.
    • Configuració RAID: If using RAID 0, verify it is configured correctly in your motherboard's BIOS/UEFI.
