1. Introducció

3. Configuració i instal·lació

Proper installation is crucial for optimal performance and safety. Ensure the vehicle's electrical system can support the radio's power requirements.

3.1 Mounting the Transceiver

Use the provided Mobile Mounting Bracket (MMB-36) and screw sets to securely install the transceiver in your vehicle. Choose a location that allows for easy access to controls, good ventilation, and does not obstruct driving visibility or airbag deployment. The bracket can be adjusted for optimal viewangle de ing.

3.2 Connexió d'alimentació

Connect the supplied DC Power Cord to the power input jack on the rear of the transceiver. The red wire connects to the positive (+) terminal of your vehicle's 13.8 VDC battery, and the black wire connects to the negative (-) terminal. Ensure the fuse (32V/15A) is properly installed in the power cord. Avoid connecting to the cigarette lighter socket as it may not provide sufficient current for 55W transmission.

3.3 Connexió de l'antena

Connect a suitable UHF antenna (not included) to the M-type antenna interface on the rear of the transceiver. Ensure the antenna is properly tuned for the 400-470MHz frequency range to prevent damage to the radio and ensure efficient operation.

3.4 Connexió del micròfon

Plug the DTMF Microphone MH-48A6J into the microphone jack on the front panel of the transceiver. Secure the microphone using the provided microphone clip in a convenient location within the vehicle.

4. Instruccions de funcionament

This section covers the basic operation of your FT-1907R mobile radio.

4.1 Encès/Apagat

Press the red power button (labeled with a circle and vertical line) on the front panel to turn the radio ON or OFF.

4.2 Ajust de volum

Rotate the VOL knob (typically the leftmost knob) clockwise to increase the audio output volume from the built-in speaker, and counter-clockwise to decrease it.

The FT-1907R supports both VFO (Variable Frequency Oscillator) mode for direct frequency input and Memory mode for stored channels.

  • Mode VFO: Use the main DIAL knob (rightmost knob) to adjust the operating frequency. The step size can often be changed using the MHZ button or menu settings.
  • Mode de memòria: Press the MW D/MR button to switch to Memory Recall mode. Rotate the DIAL knob to select from the 200 conventional storage channels or 8-channel distribution repositories.
  • Direct Frequency Entry (DTMF Microphone): Use the keypad on the DTMF Microphone MH-48A6J to directly enter frequencies.

4.4 Transmissió i recepció

To transmit, press and hold the PTT (Push-To-Talk) button on the side of the DTMF microphone. Speak clearly into the microphone. Release the PTT button to return to receive mode. The radio operates in FM mode within the 400-470MHz frequency range with selectable transmission power (55W, 25W, 10W, 5W).

4.5 Keypad Functions (DTMF Microphone MH-48A6J)

The MH-48A6J microphone provides additional control over the transceiver:

  • Teclat numèric: Used for direct frequency entry and DTMF tone generation.
  • Function Buttons (P1, P2, P3, P4): These are programmable buttons that can be assigned various functions via the radio's menu.
  • Botons A/B/C/D: Often used for quick access to specific functions or memory banks.
  • LAMP Botó: Controls the backlight of the microphone keypad.
  • Botó BLOC: Locks the microphone keypad to prevent accidental input.

5. Manteniment i cura

To ensure long-lasting performance and reliability of your FT-1907R, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Neteja: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the transceiver. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth with mild soap can be used, followed by a dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
