3.1 Initial Power-On and Activation

1. Unpack the D8W Main Unit and VCI BOX.
2. Power on the D8W tablet.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions to activate the device using your email address and the provided serial number.
4. Ensure the device is connected to a stable Wi-Fi network for updates.

3.2 Connexió al vehicle

The D8W supports both wireless (Wi-Fi) and wired connections to the vehicle.

Connexió sense fil:

2. Plug the VCI BOX into the vehicle's OBD-II port. The VCI BOX will light green when powered on.
3. The D8W tablet will automatically connect to the VCI BOX via Wi-Fi. The VCI BOX light will turn blue when connected to the tablet, and flash blue when communicating with the vehicle.
4. Ensure the tablet is within 33-66 feet (10-20 meters) of the VCI BOX for stable connection.

Connexió per cable:

1. Plug the VCI BOX into the vehicle's OBD-II port.
2. Connect the D8W tablet to the VCI BOX using the Type-C charging cable.

4.1 OE-Level All Systems Diagnostics

The D8W can scan all available vehicle systems (Engine, Transmission, ABS, Airbag, Brake, Body, Chassis, HVAC, Radio, etc.) to perform dealer-level diagnostics.

• Fault Code Reading: Read and decode Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) from each system.
• Parameter Monitoring: Real-time display of operating data (engine speed, fuel pressure, sensor readings, etc.).

4.8 FCA AutoAuth Functions

The D8W supports access to the Security Gateway Module on 2018 and newer Fiat/Chrysler/Dodge vehicles. This allows for clearing codes, running bi-directional active tests, relearning, and IMMO key programming without needing an FCA 12+8 Cable.

• Versions regionals: Be aware of regional versions (e.g., EU Version vs. Global Version). The EU version has IP restrictions and can only be used in Europe. Ensure you have the correct version for your geographical location.
