When the magnet component is moved away from the main sensor unit, it detects this motion and sends a wireless signal to the connected CPVAN Alarm Unit. 1. Situation 1 (Ideal): Door/window and doorpost/frame are at the same vertical level. The sensor and magnet are aligned next to one another with minimal gap.
2. Situations 2 & 3 (Uneven Levels): If the door/window and frame are at uneven levels, the sensor and magnet can still be installed. The distance between the two should ideally not be more than 2 centimeters. If the space is greater than 2 centimeters, the double-sided tape can be cut and stacked to create a thicker spacer to bridge the distance.

After installation, it is important to test the sensor to ensure it is functioning correctly:

1. Open the window or door where the sensor is installed.
2. Observe the sensor: the red indicator light on the front of the sensor should flash once.
3. If the indicator light flashes, the sensor is properly set up and communicating with your alarm host.

• Falses alarmes: Check for any nearby strong magnetic sources that might be interfering with the sensor. Ensure the sensor is installed on a stable surface and not prone to accidental movement.
• Red indicator light not flashing during test: This could indicate a dead battery or a faulty sensor. Replace the battery first. If the issue persists, contact customer support.
