1. Introducció

Thank you for choosing the KAWA D8 4K Dash Camera. This manual provides comprehensive instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your new dash camera. The KAWA D8 features a real 4K front camera and 1080P rear camera, powered by the Sony Starvis IMX415 sensor, offering superior video quality, especially in low-light conditions. With built-in GPS, WiFi, and voice control capabilities, it enhances your driving safety and incident recording experience.

4.1 Instal·lació de la targeta Micro SD

1. Assegureu-vos que la càmera del salpicader estigui apagada.
2. Insert the provided KAWA 64GB Micro SD card (or another Class 10, U3 speed card up to 256GB) into the Micro SD card slot until it clicks into place.
3. Per treure-la, premeu suaument la targeta fins que surti.

4.2 Instal·lació física

1. Càmera frontal: Clean the windshield area where you intend to mount the dash cam. Apply the anti-static film, then attach the holder with 3M glue to the film. Mount the dash cam onto the holder. Position it to ensure a clear view de la carretera sense obstruir la visió del conductor.
2. Càmera posterior: Mount the rear camera on the rear windshield using the provided 3M glue and anti-static film. Ensure the lens has a clear view de la part posterior.

4.3 App Installation and Connection (KAWA AUTO APP)

1. Download the "KAWA AUTO" app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android), or scan the QR code in the physical user manual.

3. Enable Wi-Fi on your smartphone and connect to the dash cam's Wi-Fi network. The Wi-Fi name and password can be found in the dash cam's settings or on the device itself.

4.4 Funcionalitat del GPS

The KAWA D8 has built-in GPS for real-time tracking of time, speed (switchable between mph and km/h), and coordinates. This data is recorded with your video footage and can be accessed via the KAWA AUTO app to help pinpoint accident locations for insurance claims or roadside assistance.

5. Instruccions de funcionament

5.1 Enregistrament bàsic

Once powered on, the dash camera will automatically begin continuous loop recording. The oldest footage will be overwritten when the Micro SD card is full, except for emergency-recorded videos.

• Enregistrament en bucle: Videos are recorded in segments (1, 2, or 3 minutes, configurable in settings).
• Codificació H.265: The camera uses H.265 (HEVC) for efficient storage and higher image quality. Ensure your media player supports H.265 for optimal playback.

5.2 Voice Control (for Voice Control version only)

The Voice Control version of the KAWA D8 allows hands-free operation using specific voice commands. Supported languages include English, Russian, Japanese, and French.

• Lock the Video: Say "Lock the Video" to protect the current recording from being overwritten.
• Turn on/off WiFi: Control Wi-Fi connectivity.

5.3 Canvi de càmera Views

Easily switch between the front and rear camera views on the 3.16" IPS screen with a single click of the designated button on the dash cam.

5.4 Enregistrament d'emergència (sensor G)

The built-in G-Sensor automatically detects sudden impacts or collisions. When an event is detected, the dash cam will automatically lock the current video footage, preventing it from being overwritten by loop recording. These emergency videos are stored in a separate folder.

5.5 Monitorització d'aparcaments

For 24/7 parking surveillance, the KAWA D8 can monitor your vehicle for impacts or collisions while parked. This feature requires a separate mini USB hardwire kit (not included) to provide continuous power. When an event occurs, the camera will record and save the footage. You can receive notifications and access event footage through the KAWA AUTO app.

5.6 Vídeo a intervals

As part of the parking monitoring feature, the dash cam can record time-lapse videos, shrinking 30 minutes of footage into 1 minute, saving storage space. This also requires the hardwire kit.

6. Manteniment

6.1 Atenció general

• Keep the dash camera clean. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the lens and screen. Avoid using harsh chemicals.
• Ensure the camera is securely mounted to prevent it from falling during driving.
• Avoid exposing the camera to extreme temperatures outside its operating range (-4°F to 149°F). The super capacitor design helps with temperature resilience.

6.2 Micro SD Card Maintenance

• Regularly format your Micro SD card (at least once a month) to ensure optimal performance and prevent data corruption.
• Use high-endurance Micro SD cards from reputable brands (e.g., KAWA, SanDisk, Kingston, Samsung, KIOXIA, SONY, Lexar) with Class 10 or U3 speed ratings.
• The included KAWA 64GB Micro SD card is recommended for smooth operation.

7. Solució De Problemes

• La càmera no s'encén: Check the power connection to the car charger and ensure the car charger is properly inserted into the cigarette lighter socket.
• Recording issues (e.g., freezing, corrupted files): Format the Micro SD card. If the issue persists, try a different high-endurance Micro SD card.
• Problemes de connexió Wi-Fi: Ensure the dash cam's Wi-Fi is enabled and your phone is within 1.5 meters of the device. Restart both the dash cam and your phone.
