1. Introducció

4. Configuració

4.1 Alimentació del dispositiu

The BMG-22 offers flexible power options:

• Potència USB: Connect the BMG-22 to your computer or iOS device using the provided USB cable. Ensure the 'POWER SOURCE' switch on the rear panel is set to 'USB'.
• External DC 5V Power: For stable power, especially when using phantom power or with devices that don't provide sufficient USB power, connect a standard 5V 2A USB power adapter (not included) or an external USB power bank (not included) to the 'DC 5V' jack. Set the 'POWER SOURCE' switch to 'DC 5V'.

4.2 Instal·lació del controlador

The BMG-22 is a plug-and-play device. It uses generic USB audio drivers and does not require proprietary driver downloads for Windows or Mac operating systems. Simply connect the device, and your computer should recognize it automatically.

4.3 Connexió de micròfons i instruments

The BMG-22 features combo inputs (INPUT 1 and INPUT 2) that accept both XLR and 1/4" TRS/TS connectors, allowing you to connect a variety of microphones and instruments.

• Micròfons: Connect dynamic microphones using an XLR cable to either INPUT 1 or INPUT 2. For condenser microphones, connect via an XLR cable to INPUT 1 and activate the +48V phantom power using the 'MIC 1 48V' switch on the rear panel and the '+48V' button on the front panel.
• Instruments: Connect instruments like electric guitars or basses using a 1/4" TS cable to INPUT 2. Ensure the 'HI-Z INPUT 2' switch is engaged for optimal impedance matching.

• Auriculars: Connect your headphones to the 'PHONE' jack on the front panel. Adjust the volume using the 'PHONE' knob.

5. Instruccions de funcionament

5.1 Adjusting Input Gain

Use the 'GAIN 1' and 'GAIN 2' knobs on the front panel to set appropriate input levels for your microphones or instruments. Monitor the 'OL' (Overload) indicators; they should light up only occasionally on the loudest peaks to avoid clipping.

5.2 Monitorització directa

Engage the 'DIRECT MONITOR' switch on the front panel to listen to your input signals directly through your headphones or main outputs without any latency. This is crucial for real-time performance and recording.

5.3 Funció de bucle

The BMG-22's loopback function allows you to mix all audio input from channels 1 and 2 with audio playback from your computer into two channels, which are then sent back to the computer. This is useful for streaming or recording computer audio along with live inputs.

To activate, switch the 'LOOP BACK' switch on the rear panel to 'ON'.

NOTE: When using the loopback function, turn off the monitor functions on your DAW software. If the loopback function is on while you are monitoring input signals from the BMG-22 via DAW software, it will cause loud noise due to an infinite loop of the audio signal generated between the BMG-22 and the DAW software.

5.4 Stereo/Mono Output

The BMG-22 provides left and right channel outputs, allowing for stereo imaging during recording and playback. You can connect microphones and instruments simultaneously for music production, and play accompaniment from your computer while recording. The device also supports switching between Stereo and Mono output modes for recording flexibility.

5.5 Recording with Digital Audio Workstations (DAW)

The BMG-22 is compatible with popular DAW software such as Pro Tools, Ableton Live Lite, Reaper, and Ableton. Select the BMG-22 as your audio input and output device within your DAW's audio settings. Adjust input levels using the BMG-22's gain knobs and your DAW's faders.

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your BOMGE BMG-22 audio interface, follow these maintenance guidelines:

• Neteja: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the device. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, solvents, or waxes.
