Guia d'instal·lació
Replacing a tablet touch screen digitizer requires careful handling and technical knowledge. It is highly recommended to seek professional assistance if you are not confident in performing the repair yourself.
1. Pre-Installation Checks and Identification
Before ordering or installing, it is crucial to correctly identify the part you need. Some tablets may use different cable codes for the same model. Always verify the cable code of your existing touch screen and LCD screen.
- Touch Panel Digitizer: If the touch panel/glass is cracked or broken, but the image displayed underneath is perfectly fine (you can see the full image), then you only need to replace the touch screen digitizer.
- Pantalla LCD: If the image displayed under the touch screen is broken (you cannot see full images), but the touch screen itself is working, then you only need to replace the LCD display.
- Full Parts (LCD Display with Touch Screen): If both the touch panel is broken AND the LCD image shows black liquid, lines, or is cracked, you will need to replace the complete screen assembly (LCD and touch screen).

To ensure compatibility, locate the model number, brand name, and especially the code numbers of the LCD, cable of the board, and touch screen on your tablet's internal components. This information is vital for matching the correct replacement part.

Funcionament i calibratge
After successful installation, your new touch screen digitizer should function immediately. In some cases, calibration may be required, especially if touch input is inverted or inaccurate.
- Prova inicial: Before fully adhering the screen, connect it and power on the tablet to test touch functionality across the entire screen.
- Touch Calibration: If touch input is incorrect (e.g., inverted axes, unresponsive areas), you may need to calibrate the screen.
- Some tablets have a built-in calibration utility in their settings. Navigate to 'Settings' -> 'Display' or 'Accessibility' to find touch screen calibration options.
- For some devices, pressing and holding the screen display area with five or three fingers simultaneously for about 11 seconds might initiate a calibration process. Follow any on-screen prompts.
- If software calibration is not effective, ensure all cable connections are secure.
Cura i Manteniment
To prolong the life of your touch screen digitizer and maintain optimal performance:
- Neteja: Feu servir un drap suau i sense borrissol, lleugerament humitampened with water or a screen-specific cleaner, to gently wipe the screen. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive materials, or excessive moisture.
- Protecció: Consider using a screen protector to guard against scratches and minor impacts.
- Manipulació: Avoid dropping the tablet or applying excessive pressure to the screen, as this can cause cracks or internal damage.
- Temperatura: Do not expose the tablet to extreme temperatures (hot or cold) for extended periods, as this can affect screen performance and longevity.
Resolució de problemes
If you encounter issues after installing the new touch screen digitizer, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- Screen Not Working / Unresponsive Touch:
- Ensure all ribbon cables are securely connected to the motherboard and the screen.
- Try restarting the tablet (a hard reset, not just a soft reboot).
- If the issue persists, disconnect and reconnect the screen cables.
- Verify that the cable code of the installed screen matches your original tablet's requirements.
- If the screen was tested before full installation and worked, but now doesn't, check for any damage during the final installation steps or issues with adhesive application.
- Incorrect Touch Response (e.g., inverted, ghost touches):
- Perform a touch screen calibration as described in the "Operation and Calibration" section.
- Check for any software updates for your tablet's operating system.
- Ensure there is no debris or foreign objects between the screen and the tablet frame that could interfere with touch.
- Display Issues (e.g., black screen, lines, distorted image):
- This indicates a potential issue with the LCD display, not just the touch digitizer. Re-evaluate if you needed a full LCD assembly replacement instead of just the digitizer.
- Check the LCD ribbon cable connection.
- If the LCD was working before replacement and now isn't, it might have been damaged during the repair process.
Important: If the screen does not work during initial testing, do not proceed with full installation (applying adhesive). Contact support for further assistance.
Consells per a l'usuari
- Double Check Compatibility: Always confirm the model number and cable codes of your original screen with the replacement part before purchase and installation.
- Manejar amb cura: Touch screen digitizers are fragile. Handle them gently during unpacking and installation to avoid damage.
- Prova abans de finalitzar: Always connect and test the new screen's functionality (display and touch) before removing protective films or applying adhesive. This is a critical step to avoid issues after full installation.
- Consider a Spare: Given the fragile nature of screens, some users find it beneficial to order two units to have a spare in case of accidental damage during installation or future needs.
