1. Introducció

This manual provides detailed instructions for the safe and efficient operation of your RD RIDEN RD6006 Series DC Adjustable Power Supply. 2. Precaucions de seguretat

It supports various functions including data storage, data adjustment, and comprehensive protection features.

4. Muntatge i muntatge

The RD RIDEN power supply is designed for DIY integration. To assemble a complete adjustable power supply, you will need a case (e.g., S400), an AC-DC power source (e.g., 400W PSU), and necessary cables.

4.1. S400 Case Assembly (Example)

If you are using an S400 case, refer to the accessory list and follow these general steps:

  1. Mount the power supply module into the case using the provided screws.
  2. Install the AC power socket and rocker switch into their designated openings on the case.
  3. Connect the AC power input to your AC-DC power source.
  4. Connect the output of the AC-DC power source to the input terminals of the RD RIDEN module.
  5. Install the cooling fan and connect it to the fan interface on the module.
  6. Secure the case panels using the case fixing screws.
  7. Attach the non-slip mats to the bottom of the case.

4.2. Wi-Fi Module Installation (for -W models)

For models with Wi-Fi functionality, ensure the Wi-Fi communication board is correctly inserted. Do not install or remove the Wi-Fi module when the power supply is on, or it may be damaged.

5. Instruccions de funcionament

5.1. Funcionament bàsic

  • Encès/apagat: Press the green ON/OFF button to power the device.
  • Configuració Voltage/Actual: Use the 'V-SET' and 'I-SET' buttons to enter voltage and current setting modes. Use the numeric keypad or the setting wheel (BY) to adjust values. Use 'BZ' (move cursor left) and 'CA' (move cursor right) to navigate digits. Press 'CB' (set button) or 'ENTER' to confirm.
  • Data Storage/Recall: Press 'MEM' to access memory functions. Use the keypad to select memory slots (M1-M9) to store or recall settings.
  • Control de sortida: Press the ON/OFF button on the right side to enable or disable the output.

  • Traditional Style (Default): Shows large, clear readings for output voltage, corrent i potència.
  • Detailed Style: Provides more detailed information including input voltage, set values, protection values, and system temperature.

To switch between display styles, press the 'ENTER' button repeatedly.

The device includes Over Voltage Protection (OVP), Over Current Protection (OCP), and Over Temperature Protection (OTP).

  • Setting Protection Values: Press the corresponding buttons (e.g., OVP, OCP) to set the desired protection thresholds.

  • Abnormal Status Indication: The display will show specific icons for OCP, OVP, or OTP if triggered.

5.4. Keypad Lock Function

To prevent accidental operation, you can lock the keypad:

  • Press the 'SHIFT' button, then the 'LOCK' button to toggle the keypad lock.
  • A lock icon on the display indicates the keypad is locked.

6. APP Wireless Control (for -W models)

For Wi-Fi enabled models (e.g., RD6006-W, RD6012-W, RD6018-W, RD6006P-W), you can remotely monitor and set the power supply parameters using a mobile APP.

6.1. Instal·lació de l'APP

  • The APP supports Android 5.0-10.0 and iOS 10.0-13.4 (iPhone6-iPhone11).
  • Android: Download the APP from Google Play by searching "RDPower" or from the provided zip-file URL: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1V0I6P1slJilN1yBOsTO9YGLVdkuO0cX9?usp=sharing.
  • iOS: Search "RDPower" in the App Store.
  • Important: Allow all necessary permissions during installation (background running, Bluetooth, folder access, etc.).
  • The Wi-Fi communication only supports 2.4G signals; 5G is not supported.
  • If using a Huawei phone, turn off the random MAC address function for proper connection.

6.2. Network Distribution (First-time Wi-Fi Connection)

  1. Ensure the Wi-Fi board is correctly inserted and power on the RD6012. The blue LED should blink once.
  2. Set the communication interface to Wi-Fi.
  3. Place the RD6012 and your mobile phone close to a 2.4G router. Ensure your phone is also on the same 2.4G network and the router has AP isolation and WMM functions disabled.
  4. The RD6012 will wait for the phone to connect (as shown in Picture 3 from the manual).
  5. On the APP, call out the sidebar (BN), click on "Network distribution" (as shown in Picture 5 from the manual).
  6. Enter your Wi-Fi password and confirm you are using a 2.4G network (as shown in Picture 6 from the manual).
  7. After about 10 seconds, the RD6012 will obtain the IP address of the mobile phone (as shown in Picture 4 from the manual).
  8. Click "Next", fill in the Wi-Fi password (as shown in Picture 7 from the manual), and click "CONFIRM".
  9. Wait for approximately 20 seconds. It should show success (as shown in Picture 8 from the manual), and the RD6012 will automatically restart.
  10. Return to the main interface and click "BO" (Connection).
  11. If the connection fails, power off the module and re-operate. Refer to the Android APP download and connection operation video for visual guidance: https://youtu.be/QwyBEUCnp9c.

6.3. Funcionament de l'APP

  • Sortida de configuració: Click "BV" to set the output voltage and use the wheel "BY" to adjust the value. Use "BZ" and "CA" to change the cursor position. Click "CB" to set the parameter.

7. Control de programari de PC

You can monitor and set the digital power supply using PC software (supports Windows 7-10 systems) for a friendly user interface and powerful functions.

  • Instal·lació: It is recommended to install and test the software before purchasing the product due to potential incompatibilities.
  • Connexió: Connect the power supply to your PC via USB.
  • Funcionament: The software provides a comprehensive interface to adjust settings, view data curves, and manage device functions.
  • Actualització del firmware: The PC software can be used to upgrade the device firmware. This process typically takes about 100 seconds.

8. Manteniment

8.1. Substitució de fusibles

The device features dual fuse sets for easy replacement. If a fuse is burnt, you can replace it with a new one. When installing a new fuse, it is recommended to set the current under 10A.

8.2. Clock Battery

The device requires a CR1220 lithium cell for the clock. Please prepare this battery yourself as it is not included.

9. Solució De Problemes

  • Sense energia: Check input power connections and ensure the power source is functioning. Verify fuses are intact.
  • Output Not Enabling: Ensure the output is turned on via the ON/OFF button. Check for OVP/OCP/OTP triggers.

    • Ensure the Wi-Fi module is correctly inserted and the device is powered off during insertion/removal.
    • Verify your mobile device is connected to a 2.4G Wi-Fi network (5G is not supported).
    • Disable AP isolation and WMM functions on your router.
    • If the IP address changes or connection fails, try resetting the network by pressing the “left direction” button then “ENTER” on the device, and repeat the network distribution process.
    • If using a Huawei phone, ensure the random MAC address function is turned off.
  • Lectures inexactes: Ensure proper calibration. If issues persist, refer to the technical parameters for measurement accuracy specifications.
  • Sobreescalfament del dispositiu: Ensure the cooling fan is operating correctly. Check for obstructions to airflow. The fan starts when output voltage > 40V or output current > 4A or system temperature > 45°C (for RD6006/RD6006-W).
