Follow these steps to set up your ThinkRider X2Max Smart Bike Trainer:
- Unfold the Trainer Legs: Place the trainer on a stable, flat surface. Unfold the support legs to ensure maximum stability.

- Install Cassette (if not already installed): The trainer does not include a cassette. You will need to use a compatible cassette from your bicycle or purchase one separately. For 8, 9, or 10-speed cassettes, use the provided washer. For 7-speed bikes, you may need 1-2 additional gaskets (not included). Shimano 12V cassettes can be installed directly. SRAM 12V requires a separately purchased XDR freehub.
- Mount Your Bicycle:
- For Quick Release (130/135mm): Use the quick release adapters.
- For Thru Axle (142/148mm): Use the thru axle adapters. One thru axle adapter is already installed on the trainer.
Carefully align your bicycle's rear dropout with the trainer's axle and secure it firmly. Ensure the chain is properly seated on the cassette.

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your ThinkRider X2Max Smart Bike Trainer, follow these maintenance guidelines:

- No Slope Percentage Displayed in Software:
- Confirm that the cycling software you are using supports gradient simulation and that the feature is enabled in its settings.
- Ensure the trainer is properly connected and communicating with the software.
- Trainer not working without power:
- The ThinkRider X2Max is a smart trainer and requires a 12V power supply for full functionality, including resistance control and data transmission. It cannot be used as a passive trainer without being plugged in.
