1. Introducció

The RIDEN RD6030 and RD6030-W are digital control DC adjustable step-down power supplies designed for various applications, including battery charging and general laboratory use. 3. Muntatge i muntatge

This section provides instructions for assembling the RD6030/RD6030-W with the S800 aluminum cover (if purchased separately) and initial connections.

3.1. S800 Aluminum Cover Assembly (Optional)

If you have purchased the S800 aluminum cover, follow these steps for assembly. Ensure all components are present before starting.

  1. Unpack the S800 aluminum cover kit, which includes the cover, screws, wires, power switch, AC inlet, and a small PCB.
  2. Carefully mount the RD6030/RD6030-W power supply module into the S800 case.
  3. Connect the provided wires for input power, output terminals, and internal components like the fan and temperature sensor.
  4. Install the AC inlet and power switch into their designated slots on the case.

3.2. Connexions inicials

Before powering on the device, ensure all connections are correct:

  • Connect the DC input power source (7-70V) to the input terminals.
  • Connect your load to the output terminals. For 30A output, it is recommended to use copper cable lugs with 4 square millimeter or 11AWG wire.
  • If using the RD6030-W model, ensure the Wi-Fi communication board is correctly installed.
  • If using an external temperature sensor, connect it to the designated socket.

4. Instruccions de funcionament

4.1. Funcionament bàsic

  1. Encès: After connecting the input power, press the ON/OFF button to power on the device.
  2. Configuració Voltage/Actual: Use the 'V-SET' and 'I-SET' buttons along with the rotary encoder to adjust the desired output voltage i límits de corrent.

The RD6030/RD6030-W can be monitored and controlled via PC software (supports Windows 7 and above).

  • Download the PC software from the official link provided in Section 7.
  • Connect the power supply to your PC via USB.
  • The software allows for setting parameters, monitoring output, viewing graphs, and managing data.

4.4. Mobile App Control (RD6030-W Only)

The RD6030-W model supports mobile app control via Bluetooth (Android and iOS).

  • Download the appropriate app from the official links or app stores (see Section 7).
  • Pair your mobile device with the RD6030-W via Bluetooth.
  • The app provides an intuitive interface for setting parameters, monitoring output, and viewing data remotely.

5. Manteniment

Un manteniment adequat garanteix la longevitat i el rendiment òptim de la vostra font d'alimentació.

  • Neteja: Keep the device clean and free from dust. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning. Do not use liquid cleaners.
  • Ventilador de refrigeració: The cooling fan operates automatically based on output current and system temperature. It starts when the output current exceeds 8A or the system temperature rises above 45℃. It stops when the output current is below 7.9A and the system temperature is below 40℃. Ensure the fan vents are not obstructed.

6. Resolució de problemes i proteccions

6.1. Problemes comuns

  • High-frequency noise from 1500W PSU: A high-frequency noise may occur when the switching power supply is unloaded. This is due to the PWM control chip skipping control cycles to reduce power consumption, which can lower the working frequency to an audible range. This is considered normal behavior. The noise level can vary slightly between units due to transformer production differences.
  • Loud fan noise: The fan may run loudly, even when unloaded, if the ambient temperature is high. This is normal as it ensures proper cooling.

Recommendation: It is recommended to turn off the AC switch when the product is not in use to prevent unnecessary operation and noise.

6.2. Característiques de protecció

The RD6030/RD6030-W incorporates multiple protection mechanisms to safeguard the device and connected loads:

  • Abnormal Power-Up/Down Protection: Garanteix un volum establetage during power-up, power-down, and switch ON/OFF.
  • Sobrevol d'entradatage Protecció (OVP): Protects against input overvoltage up to 100V. If input voltage exceeds 72V, a warning prompt appears. If it exceeds 75V, the product power cutoff protection activates, and the display may show no input.
  • Output Reverse Connection Protection: If a battery is connected with reverse polarity (red to black), only the fuse will blow. The product itself will not be damaged abnormally. Note: Many power supplies explicitly state that batteries should not be connected in reverse.
  • Charging Abnormal Protection: When using battery charging terminals, reverse connection will not cause damage. Voltage abnormalities are indicated, and the output will automatically cut off in case of full charge/overheating/power loss.

7. Consells d'usuari

  • PSU Compatibility: Be aware that a 1500W PSU provides 1500W output under 220V AC input (allowing RD6030 to output 1440W max), but only 1200W under 110V AC input (allowing RD6030 to output 1140W max). Choose your PSU carefully based on your region's AC input voltage.
  • Compatibilitat de l'aplicació: There may be incompatibilities with certain mobile phone models and operating systems. It is recommended to install and test the app before purchasing the product, especially for older Android versions.
