1. Basic Overview

This product is a pocket-sized 4000-digit true RMS auto-scanning pen-type digital multimeter. It is designed for high-precision electrical measurements, offering a range of functions in a compact form factor.

2. Configuració

2.1 Instal·lació de la bateria

  1. Ensure the meter is powered off and probes are disconnected from any circuit.
  2. Localitzeu la tapa del compartiment de la bateria a la part posterior del multímetre.
  3. Utilitzeu un tornavís per obrir la tapa de la bateria.
  4. Insert 2 AAA batteries, observing correct polarity.
  5. Substituïu la tapa de la bateria i premeu els cargols amb seguretat.

2.2 Connexió de la sonda

For most multimeter functions, connect the black test lead into the pen cap socket. The red probe is integrated into the pen tip.

3. Instruccions de funcionament

The HYTAIS TS20B features an 'Auto' mode for intelligent measurement, automatically detecting the type of measurement. Use the 'SEL' button to cycle through specific functions if needed.

3.1 Encès/Apagat

Press and hold the 'SEL' button for more than 2 seconds to power on the multimeter. The display will show "Auto". To power off, long press the 'SEL' button again.

3.2 Llanterna

To turn on the flashlight, press the 'SEL' button once, then hold it for 3 seconds. Repeat to turn it off.

3.3 Vol. sense contactetage (NCV) Measurement

This feature allows for detection of AC voltage without direct contact. It's useful for quickly checking for the presence of voltage in wires or outlets.

  1. Long press the 'SEL' button for more than 2 seconds to turn on the meter, displaying "Auto".
  2. Press the 'NCV/Live' button to select NCV measurement, the meter displays "EF".
  3. Bring the meter tip close to the object (approx. 8-15mm). The intensity of the AC voltage is indicated by three grades:
    • Weak electric field: Display shows "-", intermittent beep, LED flashes.
    • Medium electric field: Display shows "--", intermittent beep, LED flashes.
    • Strongest electric field: Display shows "---H", intermittent beep, LED flashes.

  • Remove the black probe from the meter when performing NCV measurements.

3.4 Detecció de cables en fase

This function helps identify live (hot) wires from neutral wires.

  1. Long press the 'SEL' button for more than 2 seconds to turn on the meter, displaying "Auto".
  2. Press the 'NCV/Live' button to select live wire measurement, the meter displays "LIVE".
  3. When the meter tip is connected to a live wire, the buzzer will emit an intermittent sound, the red LED will flash, and the LCD screen will display "----H". If connected to a neutral wire, there will be no sound, and the LCD screen will display "LIVE".

Atenció:

  • Remove the black probe from the meter when performing live wire detection.

3.5 DC Voltage Mesura

  1. Long press the 'SEL' button for more than 2 seconds to turn on the meter, displaying "Auto".
  2. Insert the black probe into the pen cap socket.
  3. Connect the meter tip and black probe to the DC power source or load. The polarity of the connected end of the pen tip and the measured value will be displayed.
  4. Press the 'SEL' button to manually switch to DC voltage measurement if not in auto mode.

Atenció:

  • Quan es mesura un alt voltage, do not touch the tip of the pen or the exposed metal part of the probe to avoid electric shock.

3.6 AC Voltage Mesura

  1. Long press the 'SEL' button for more than 2 seconds to turn on the meter, displaying "Auto".
  2. Insert the black probe into the pen cap socket.
  3. Connect the meter tip and black probe to the AC power source or load.

  5. Press the 'SEL' button to manually switch to AC voltage measurement if not in auto mode.

Atenció:

3.7 Mesura de la Resistència

  1. Long press the 'SEL' button for more than 2 seconds to turn on the meter, displaying "Auto".
  2. Insert the black probe into the pen cap socket.
  3. Connect the meter tip and black probe to the resistor to be measured.
  4. The display will show the resistance value.

Atenció:

  • When checking in-line resistance, all power to the circuit under test must be turned off, and all capacitors must be fully discharged.

3.8 Prova de continuïtat

  1. Long press the 'SEL' button for more than 2 seconds to turn on the meter, displaying "Auto".
  2. Insert the black probe into the pen cap socket.
  3. Connect the meter tip and black probe to two points in the circuit. If the resistance between these points is less than approximately 50 Ω, the built-in buzzer will sound, the red LED indicator will light up, and the display will show the on-resistance value.

Atenció:

  • The circuit under test must be de-energized. Testing an energized circuit will lead to incorrect readings.

3.9 Diode Testing

  1. Long press the 'SEL' button for more than 2 seconds to turn on the meter, displaying "Auto".
  2. Short press the 'SEL' button to switch to diode measurement. The meter displays "OL V".
  3. Insert the black probe into the pen cap socket.
  4. Connect the meter tip to the positive terminal of the diode and the black probe to the negative terminal. The meter screen displays the diode's forward conduction voltage drop in "V". If the diode is reverse-connected, it displays "OL".

  • Assegureu-vos que no voltage is applied across the diode during the test.

3.10 Mesura de la capacitat

  1. Long press the 'SEL' button for more than 2 seconds to turn on the meter, displaying "Auto".
  2. Short press the 'SEL' button to switch to capacitance measurement. The meter displays "0.000nF".
  3. Insert the black probe into the pen cap socket.
  4. Connect the meter tip and black probe to both ends of the capacitor under test.
  5. The meter display will show the capacitance value.

Atenció:

  • Capacitors to be tested should be discharged before measurement.
  • For large capacity capacitors, the measurement time may be up to 5 seconds.

3.11 Mesura de la freqüència

  1. Long press the 'SEL' button for more than 2 seconds to turn on the meter, displaying "Auto".
  2. Short press the 'SEL' button to select frequency measurement. The meter displays "0.00Hz".
  3. Insert the black probe into the pen cap socket.
  4. Connect the meter tip and black probe to both ends of the signal source.
  5. The meter display will show the frequency measurement value.

Atenció:

  • El amplitude of the frequency signal should be within the range of 1.2V to 250V. Voltages higher than 250V may yield readings, but accuracy may be compromised.

3.12 Retenció de dades

During measurement, briefly press the 'HOLD' button to activate or deactivate the data hold function.

3.13 Llum de fons

Press and hold the 'HOLD' button for more than 2 seconds to turn the backlight on or off.

3.14 Apagat automàtic

The multimeter will automatically shut down if there is no operation for 15 minutes after powering on to conserve battery life.

4. Manteniment

4.1 Substitució de la bateria

If the battery symbol appears on the display, it indicates that the batteries need to be replaced. Follow these steps:

  1. Ensure the probes are disconnected from any test circuit and removed from the input jacks.
  2. Use a screwdriver to loosen the screws on the battery cover and remove the cover.
  3. Remove the old batteries and insert new AAA batteries, observing correct polarity.

5. Solució De Problemes

5.1 Indicació de bateria baixa

If the 'battery' symbol appears on the display, the batteries are low and need to be replaced. Refer to section 4.1 for battery replacement instructions.
