Before installation, ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz. The camera does not support 5GHz Wi-Fi. Please place your smartphone and the camera within 3 meters of your router during setup.
3.1 Initial Device Connection
- **Download Imou Life App:** Scan the QR code on the product packaging or search "Imou Life" in Google Play or the App Store to download and install the application.
- **Register Account:** Open the Imou Life App and register a new account for first-time users.
- **Power On:** Connect the camera to a power source using the provided power adapter.
- **Wait for Indicator Light:** Wait until the camera's indicator light flashes green, indicating it's ready for pairing.

- **SD Card:** Requires a computer to view historical monitoring footage. When the card is full, it automatically overwrites old recordings. Ensure you save important data in time.

6.2 Modifying Device Information (Photo/Name/Channel/Password)
To modify device information, log into your Imou Life mobile app:
- **Method 1:** Go to the preview page, click the gear icon in the top right corner to access device settings, then click the device image bar to go to the Device Info page, and select the option to modify.
- **Method 2:** Go to "Me" -> "My Device" -> select the corresponding device -> click the device image bar to go to the Device Info page -> click the corresponding option to modify.
6.3 "Failed to Bind" Error
This error indicates that your device successfully connected to Wi-Fi but failed to add to your Imou account. This is often due to an unstable internet connection. Double-check your router's internet connection and try again.
6.4 Imou Account Binding
For security reasons, each camera can only be bound to one Imou account. If you wish to add your camera to a new account, you must first delete it from the previous account.
To delete a camera from your account:
- **Method 1:** From the preview page, click the gear icon in the top right corner, go to device settings, scroll to the bottom, and select "Delete Device."
- **Method 2:** Go to "Me" -> "My Device" -> select the corresponding device -> scroll to the bottom -> "Delete Device."
6.5 Changing Wi-Fi Network
If you change your Wi-Fi network or move the camera to a new location:
- **With Ethernet Port (if applicable):** If your camera has an Ethernet port and you have a cable, power on the camera and connect it to your router via Ethernet. Wait until the LED turns solid blue, indicating internet access. Then, in the Imou Life app, go to the device's settings page, tap "Wi-Fi Config," and connect to your new Wi-Fi.
- **Without Ethernet Port/Cable:** Reset your camera to factory default settings, then set it up again with the new Wi-Fi network as per the initial setup guide.

6.7 Black Image at Night

- **IR LED:** Check if the IR LED lights are functioning.
- **ICR Switch:** The Infrared Cut-off Filter (ICR) might not be switching to night mode correctly. If IR LEDs are on but you don't hear a "KA" sound (indicating the filter switching) and the image is black, there might be an issue with the ICR.
- **Distance:** For consumer cameras, the effective IR distance is typically less than 10m. Objects too far away may not be visible.
