6. Instruccions de funcionament
The NF-8506 offers 9 key functions for comprehensive network testing:

6.1 Cable Continuity Test
This function tests for short circuits, open circuits, crossovers, and normal connections in network cables. It can also support switch pairing.
- Connect one end of the network cable to the RJ45 port on the Transmitter.
- Connect the other end of the network cable to the CONT port on the Receiver.
- Select "Cont" from the main menu on the Transmitter and press OK to start the test.
- The screen will display the wiring sequence and any faults (e.g., Short Circuit, Open, Crossover).

6.2 Cable Length Measurement
The device can measure the length of network cables from 2.5 meters to 200 meters without requiring calibration.
- Insert one end of the cable into the "Flash/Length" port on the Transmitter.
- Select "Length" from the main menu and press OK to start the measurement.
- The screen will display the length for each pair.
- Important: The network cable must NOT be powered on or connected to any other equipment/instruments during length measurement to prevent damage.

6.3 Line Hunting (Cable Tracing)
This feature helps locate target cables quickly, supporting both Analog and Digital modes for STP/UTP cables.
- Connect the network cable to the RJ45 port on the Transmitter.
- Select "Scan" from the main menu on the Transmitter.
- Choose either "Digital Mode" or "Analog Mode" on the Transmitter.
- Turn on the Receiver and select the corresponding hunting mode (Digital or Analog) using the SCAN Mode Switch.
- Move the Receiver's probe along the suspected cable path. The closer the probe is to the target line, the stronger the signal and the louder the sound.
- Adjust the Signal Sensitivity Switch on the Receiver for optimal detection.
- Nota: The hunt mode on the Receiver must match the mode selected on the Transmitter. Digital mode offers anti-jamming and anti-noise capabilities for high sensitivity.

6.4 Prova POE
This function allows testing of Power over Ethernet (PoE) parameters.
- Connect the network cable to the RJ45 port on the Transmitter.
- Select "PoE" from the main menu and press OK.
- The device will display the real-time voltage of each line, the PoE standard (IEEE802.3AT/AF/BT), the output power level (Class 1-8), and the power supply method (Mid-span/End-span/AT-4 pairs).

6.5 Port Flashing Function
This function helps quickly identify the corresponding port on a switch or router by making its LED light blink.
- Connect the network cable to the RJ45 port on the Transmitter.
- Select "Port Flash" from the main menu and press OK.
- The Transmitter will send a signal that causes the connected port's LED on the switch/router to blink, allowing for easy identification.
- The screen will display the working rate of the port (10M/100M/1000M), full/half duplex, and port negotiation mode.

6.6 Ping Test Function
This function allows you to ping a server from one location to test its response speed.
- Connect the network cable to the RJ45 port on the Transmitter.
- Select "Ping" from the main menu.
- For the first time, it is recommended to enter the IP interface first to perform IPv4 parameter settings (Local IP, Dest IP, etc.).
- After setting parameters, start the test. The screen will display statistics including Sent (SE), Received (RE), and Lost (LT) data, along with minimum, maximum, and average response times.

6.7 IP Scanning Function
This function allows scanning for IP addresses on the network.
- Connect the network cable to the RJ45 port on the Transmitter.
- Select "IP Scan" from the main menu and press OK.
- The device will scan and display available IP addresses on the network.
6.8 Network Cable Rate Function (Switch Test)
This function determines the network speed and duplex mode of the connected cable.
- Connect the network cable to the RJ45 port on the Transmitter.
- Select "Switch Test" from the main menu and press OK.
- After successful detection, the screen will display the network rate (10M/100M/1000M) and the duplex mode (Full Duplex/Half Duplex).
6.9 NCV Function (Non-Contact Voltage)
The Receiver unit features an NCV function to detect live power lines without direct contact, helping to avoid electrical shock.
- Engegueu la unitat receptora.
- Press the "NCV" button to activate the function.
- Move the probe near suspected live wires or sockets. The NCV indicator and an audible alert will signal the presence of voltage.

6.10 Funció de la llum LED
