1. Introducció
This series of HYTAIS infrared thermometers is designed to measure the surface temperature of opaque objects. The device's optical system senses reflected and transmitted energy, focusing it onto a detector. This makes it ideal for quickly measuring the surface temperature of various high-temperature, toxic, or hard-to-reach objects.
The thermometer comprises an optical system, a photoelectric sensor, a signal amplifier, a signal processing circuit, and an LCD display. The optical system concentrates infrared energy radiated from the object's surface onto the photoelectric sensor, which converts this energy into an electrical signal. This signal is then processed and displayed as a temperature reading on the LCD.
2. Instruccions de seguretat
Avís:
- To prevent potential harm, do not point the laser directly at eyes or indirectly through reflective surfaces.
- The thermometer cannot measure through transparent surfaces like glass or plastic. The reading will reflect the surface temperature of the transparent object itself.
- Steam, dust, smoke, or other particles can obstruct the instrument's lens, affecting measurement accuracy.
Atenció:
To avoid damaging the thermometer or the equipment being measured, protect them from the following:
- Electromagnetic fields (EMF) generated by arc welding machines, induction heaters, etc.
- Thermal shock (large or sudden temperature changes). Allow 30 minutes for the thermometer to stabilize before use if exposed to significant temperature shifts.
- Do not place or bring the thermometer close to high-temperature objects.

5. Configuració
Instal·lació de la bateria
- Obriu la porta del compartiment de la bateria.
- Insert two 1.5V AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity.
- Tanqueu bé la porta del compartiment de la bateria.

6. Instruccions de funcionament
Mesura ràpida
- After installing batteries, pull the trigger to turn on the device.
- Aim the positioning laser at the surface of the object to be measured.
- Pull the trigger and the target temperature will be displayed on the LCD.
- Release the trigger to hold the data on the display. The device will automatically turn off after a few seconds of inactivity.
Localització de punts freds o calents
To find a hot or cold spot, first aim the thermometer at the outer edge of the area to be measured. Then, slowly move the thermometer up and down to scan the entire area until the hot or cold spot is located.
Function Switch Button (MODE)
After pulling and releasing the trigger, press the 'MODE' button to cycle through different display modes on the LCD: E (emissivity), MAX (maximum value), Hi (high temperature alarm setting), and LOW (low temperature alarm setting).
Infrared Indicator Switch Button
After pulling and releasing the trigger, press the '▲' button to toggle the positioning laser on or off. The laser symbol on the LCD will appear or disappear accordingly.
Celsius/Fahrenheit Toggle Button (°C/°F)
After pulling and releasing the trigger, press the '°C/°F' button to switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit temperature units.
Ajust d'emissivitat
After pulling and releasing the trigger, press and hold the 'MODE' button until 'E=0.95' (or current emissivity) is displayed. Then, use the '°C/°F' or '▲' buttons to adjust the emissivity value from 0.1 to 1.00. This allows for more accurate readings on different material surfaces.

Alarma de temperatura alta / baixa
After pulling and releasing the trigger, press and hold the 'MODE' button, then briefly press 'MODE' to select either the high (Hi) or low (LOW) temperature alarm setting. Use the '°C/°F' or '▲' buttons to set the desired alarm temperature point. When the measured temperature exceeds the high limit or falls below the low limit, the indicator light above the display will illuminate.

7. Relació distància-punt (D:S)
When measuring temperature, it is important to consider the ratio between the distance to the object and the size of the measurement area. As the distance between the device and the object increases, the measurement area will also increase. This instrument has a D:S ratio of 12:1.
The device is equipped with a positioning laser to help aim at the surface of the object being measured. Ensure that the target being measured is larger than the diameter of the thermometer's light spot. For accurate measurements, the target should be at least twice the diameter of the light spot.

8. Emissivitat
Emissivity describes how effectively a material radiates energy. Most organic materials and surfaces that are painted or oxidized have an emissivity of 0.95. The preset emissivity of this thermometer is 0.95.
Measuring shiny metal surfaces may result in inaccurate readings. To compensate, you can cover the surface with opaque adhesive tape or flat black paint (for temperatures below 148°C/300°F). Allow time for the cover to reach the same temperature as the surface, then measure the temperature of the covered area.
This thermometer allows you to adjust the emissivity based on the type of surface being measured. Refer to the table below for common material emissivity values:
| Nom del material | Especificació | Emissivitat |

10. Manteniment del producte
Neteja de lents:
Use clean compressed air to blow away any debris. Then, use a camel hair brush to gently remove any remaining small particles. Finally, carefully wipe the surface with a damp tela de cotó.
Shell Cleaning:
Use a wet sponge or a soft cloth with soap and water to clean the exterior of the device.
Nota:
- Do not use any solvents to clean the plastic lens.
- No submergiu el termòmetre en aigua.
11. Solució De Problemes
- Sense pantalla/Engegada: Check battery installation and ensure batteries are not depleted. Replace with fresh AAA batteries if necessary.
- Lectures inexactes: Verify that the emissivity setting matches the material being measured. Ensure the distance-to-spot ratio is appropriate for the target size. Avoid measuring through transparent surfaces.
- El làser no funciona: Check if the laser is enabled using the '▲' button.
- L'alarma no s'activa: Confirm that the high/low temperature alarm limits are set correctly and the alarm function is active.
12. Consells d'usuari
- For general household use, such as checking refrigerator temperatures or the temperature of cooking surfaces, the default emissivity setting of 0.95 is often sufficient.
- When checking for drafts or insulation issues in a house, use the 'Locating Hot or Cold Spots' method to scan walls and windows for temperature variations.
- Remember that the device measures surface temperature, not internal temperature. It is not intended for measuring human or animal body temperature.
