3. Setup and Safety Precautions

4.2 Wiring Connection Check
The device is equipped with three LEDs to indicate the status of line connections (P-E, P-N). When P-E and P-N indicator lights are on, the line is connected correctly. If the P≥N indicator light is on, the line is connected incorrectly, and you should not proceed with measurements.

- Connect the test leads to the appropriate terminals on the DT-5301 and to the circuit under test.
- Select the desired function (Loop Tester or PSC Tester) and range using the rotary dial. Available ranges include 20Ω, 200Ω, 2000Ω for Loop Impedance and 200A, 2000A, 20KA for PSC.
- Ensure the wiring connection is correct by observing the P-E and P-N indicator lights.
- Press the 'TEST' button to initiate the measurement. The tester will display the result for 5 seconds, then revert to displaying the voltage.

- "Temperature is High" Warning: If the LCD displays "Temperature is High" and flashes, the internal resistance is overheating. The tester will automatically cut off and lock. Allow the device to cool down before attempting further measurements.
- "250V" Warning: If the LCD flashes "250V", it indicates an overload protection trigger due to the voltage of P-E reaching 250V. The tester will stop the test to protect the device. Disconnect immediately and check the circuit voltage.
- Incorrect Wiring Indication (P≥N light): If the P≥N indicator light is on, the wiring connection is incorrect. Recheck your connections to ensure they are properly established (P-E and P-N lights should be on for correct wiring).
