Introducció

The YSIDO ESC USB Linker is a compact and portable tool designed to connect Electronic Speed Controllers (ESCs) to a computer. This allows for configuration adjustments and firmware upgrades for various ESCs, including AM32 and BLS32 models, commonly used in RC Crawlers and other remote-controlled vehicles.

Its plug-and-play design simplifies the process, requiring only a connection to the ESC signal plug and a USB Type-C cable to your computer, along with the necessary VCP driver installation.

1. Prepare the USB Linker:

   The YSIDO ESC USB Linker features a USB Type-C port on one end and a 3-pin header on the other. The pins are labeled GND (Ground), NC (No Connection), and SIGNAL. Ensure you identify these pins correctly before connecting to your ESC.

2. Connect to ESC:

   Connect the 3-pin header of the USB Linker to the signal port of your ESC. Ensure the GND pin of the linker aligns with the ground pin of your ESC, and the SIGNAL pin aligns with the signal pin. The NC pin is not used for connection.

3. Connexió a l'ordinador:

   Use a standard USB Type-C cable (not included) to connect the USB Linker to an available USB port on your computer.
4. Install VCP Driver:

   Before using the linker, you may need to install a Virtual COM Port (VCP) driver for your operating system. This driver allows your computer to recognize the USB Linker as a serial port. Refer to the manufacturer's website for the specific VCP driver compatible with your system.

5. Launch ESC Configuration Software:

   Once the driver is installed and the linker is connected, open your ESC's dedicated configuration software (e.g., for AM32 or BLS32 ESCs). The software should detect the connected ESC via the USB Linker.

The YSIDO ESC USB Linker acts as a bridge between your ESC and your computer's configuration software. Its operation is primarily controlled through the ESC's specific software interface.

1. Configuració:

   Within the ESC configuration software, you can adjust various parameters such as motor timing, throttle curves, braking strength, battery cut-off voltage, and more. Always refer to your ESC's specific software manual for detailed instructions on each setting.

2. Actualització del firmware:

   To upgrade your ESC's firmware, download the latest firmware version compatible with your ESC model from the ESC manufacturer's official website. Use the firmware flashing utility within the ESC configuration software, following the on-screen prompts. Ensure a stable power supply to both your computer and ESC during the entire firmware upgrade process to prevent data corruption.

   After making any configuration changes or completing a firmware upgrade, ensure you save the settings to your ESC through the software interface. Disconnect the USB Linker and ESC only after the process is complete and confirmed by the software.

• Keep the USB Linker clean and free from dust and moisture.
• Store in a dry place at room temperature when not in use.

Resolució de problemes

Problem: USB Linker not recognized by computer.

• Reinicieu l'ordinador.

Problem: ESC not detected by configuration software.

• Verify that the USB Linker is correctly connected to the ESC's signal port (GND to GND, SIGNAL to SIGNAL).
• Ensure the ESC is powered on (if required by the ESC for configuration).
• Confirm the correct COM port is selected in the ESC configuration software.
• Check for any error messages in the software or device manager.

Problem: Firmware upgrade fails.

• Ensure a stable power supply to both the computer and the ESC.
• Verify that you are using the correct firmware file for your specific ESC model.
• Close any other applications that might interfere with the USB connection.
• Try the upgrade process again.
