4. Instruccions d'instal·lació

Before proceeding with installation, ensure your computer is powered off and unplugged from the power source. It is recommended to wear an anti-static wrist strap to prevent damage from static electricity.

4.1. WN685BE3M (M.2 Module) Installation (for Laptops)

  1. Step 1: Prepare your laptop. Unplug the power adapter and remove the battery (if removable). Open the back cover of your laptop to access the internal components.
  2. Step 2: Locate and remove the old network card. Find the wireless network card slot. Carefully disconnect any existing antenna cables and remove the screw securing the old network card. Gently pull out the old card.
  3. Step 3: Install the BE200 M.2 module. Insert the WAVLINK BE200 M.2 module into the slot at a slight angle. Push down gently until it clicks into place. Secure it with the provided screw.
  4. Step 4: Connect antennas. Carefully connect the laptop's internal antenna cables to the corresponding connectors on the BE200 module (Main and Aux).
  5. Step 5: Close the laptop. Replace the back cover, reinsert the battery, and plug in the power adapter.

Compatibility Warning: Ensure your laptop has a compatible NGFF M.2 A/E Key slot. This module is not compatible with Key-M or Mini-PCIe slots, and does not support AMD CPUs.

4.2. WN685BE3 (PCIe Adapter) Installation (for Desktop PCs)

  1. Step 1: Prepare your desktop PC. Power off your computer and unplug the power cable. Open the computer case.
  2. Step 2: Remove protective film. Before inserting the card, carefully remove the plastic protective film from the gold-plated fingers of the PCIe adapter.
  3. Step 3: Install the PCIe adapter. Locate an available PCI-E X1, X4, X8, or X16 slot on your motherboard. Gently insert the adapter into the slot until it is firmly seated. Secure the adapter with a screw to the PC case.
  4. Step 4: Connect the Bluetooth cable. Connect the small 4-pin connector of the provided Bluetooth cable to the corresponding header on the PCIe adapter. Connect the other end (9-pin connector) to an available USB 2.0 header on your motherboard. This connection is essential for Bluetooth functionality.
  5. Step 5: Attach antennas. Connect the external antennas to the connectors on the PCIe adapter. Position the antennas for optimal signal reception. If using an external antenna dock, connect the cables from the dock to the adapter and place the dock in a suitable location.
  6. Step 6: Close the PC case. Replace the computer case cover and plug in the power cable.

Compatibility Warning: This PCIe adapter is compatible with PCI-E X1/X4/X8/X16 slots only. It is NOT compatible with standard PCI slots and does not support AMD motherboards.

5.2. Connecting to Wi-Fi Networks

  1. Once drivers are installed and the computer restarted, click on the Wi-Fi icon in your system tray (usually bottom-right corner).
