1. Introducció

The SS-969D is a 75W intelligent thermostatic soldering station designed for precision repair and welding tasks. It features a high-definition digital LED display for intuitive temperature control and a plug-in ceramic heating core for convenient replacement. This station is suitable for various applications, including mobile phone repair, electronic DIY projects, and production line operations.

2. Precaucions de seguretat

To ensure safe operation and prevent damage to the equipment or injury, please observe the following precautions:

  1. Each soldering station is strictly tested for tin and temperature control effect before leaving the factory. Traces of tin on the head are normal and do not affect use.
  2. When the new electric iron is first used, it may smoke slightly due to the electric heating element. This is a normal phenomenon and will disappear naturally after a few minutes.
  3. At the beginning of use, heat it up enough to melt the solder (generally adjust it to about 250 degrees) to heat the iron head evenly, and then solder it. Avoid burning and oxidation at high temperature.
  4. When the soldering nozzle appears high temperature oxidation and black tin, remove the black oxide on the surface of the soldering nozzle first, infiltrate the tin part of the soldering nozzle with the soldering nozzle cleaner, and then the temperature of the soldering nozzle should be set to about 250°C.
  5. The soldering station shall not arbitrarily knock, remove, and install the parts of the electric heating and control parts.
  6. The soldering station should be well grounded, and have good ventilation and heat dissipation environment to ensure its normal operation.
  7. The soldering station shall be kept dry and not working in excessive wet or rainy environment.
  8. Please use neutral flux to avoid corrosion and oxidation of soldering iron. Do not immerse the soldering nozzle into corrosive liquids such as hydrochloric acid to avoid corrosion and use.
  9. After the soldering iron heating up, when it is not used for a long time, it is appropriate to lower the temperature or turn off the power supply to prevent the oxidation of the soldering iron head from leading to no solder.
  10. Before turning off the power, wrap the iron head with solder to prevent oxidation for next operation.

3.2 Panel Instructions

SS-969A (Knob Model):

  • Temperature Heating Indicator Lamp (Blanc): Indicates when the soldering iron is heating. When the light is on, the iron is heating. When it flashes, the iron has reached the set temperature and is ready for soldering.
  • Temperature Calibration Knob: Used to adjust the temperature.
  • Soldering Iron Socket: Connects the soldering iron handle.

SS-969D (Digital Display Model):

4. Instruccions de configuració

Upon receiving your soldering station, carefully unpack all components. Verify that all items listed in the standard configuration are present:

4.2 Connecting the Soldering Iron

  1. Ensure the soldering station is powered off and unplugged from the mains.
  2. Align the connector of the soldering iron handle with the Soldering Iron Socket on the front panel of the station.
  3. Gently push and twist the connector until it is securely locked in place.

4.3 Connexió d'alimentació

Connect the national standard 3C three-plug-in power line to the power inlet on the back of the soldering station, and then plug it into a suitable 220V AC power outlet. Ensure reliable grounding.

5. Funcionament

5.1 Engegada i configuració de la temperatura

  1. Flip the power switch to the 'ON' position.
  2. For SS-969D (Digital Display): Use the 'Set' key to enter temperature adjustment mode, then use the 'Up' and 'Down' arrow keys to set the desired temperature (100℃-520℃). The station will rapidly heat to the set temperature.
  3. For SS-969A (Knob Control): Rotate the temperature calibration knob to select the desired temperature (200℃-480℃). The red indicator lamp will illuminate during heating and flash when the set temperature is reached.

5.2 Soldering Process

Once the soldering iron reaches the set temperature, you can begin soldering. The intelligent constant temperature feature ensures fast heat conduction and easy soldering.

6. Manteniment

6.1 Neteja de la punta de soldadura

Regularly clean the soldering tip using the provided cleaning sponge. Ensure the sponge is soaked in water and squeezed dry before use to prevent thermal shock to the tip.

6.2 Replacing the Heating Core

The soldering station features a convenient plug-in ceramic heating core, eliminating the need for soldering during replacement. Simply unplug the old core and plug in a new one.

7. Solució De Problemes

This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your soldering station.

7.1 Soldering Iron Not Heating

  • Verify that the soldering iron handle connector is firmly seated in its socket.
  • If the heating element is new, slight smoke is normal and will dissipate. If no heat, the heating core might need replacement (refer to Section 6.2).

7.2 Soldering Tip Oxidation / Blackening

  • Clean the tip thoroughly with a damp sponge and, if necessary, use a soldering tip cleaner.
  • Ensure the tip is properly tinned after cleaning and before storage.
  • Avoid operating at excessively high temperatures for prolonged periods.
