This manual provides essential information for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your replacement filter set for Sharp Air Purifier models UA-HD60E-L and UA-HG60E-L. The set includes a True HEPA Filter (UZ-HD6HF) and an Activated Carbon Deodorizing Filter (UZ-HD6DF), designed to ensure optimal air purification performance.

Guia d'instal·lació

Follow these general steps to replace the filters in your Sharp Air Purifier. Refer to your air purifier's specific manual for detailed instructions on opening the unit.

1. Apagueu i desconnecteu: Always ensure the air purifier is turned off and unplugged from the power outlet before attempting any maintenance or filter replacement.

4. Install New Filters (Layer by Layer):

   • Step 2 (Activated Carbon Filter): Install the Activated Carbon Deodorizing Filter (UZ-HD6DF). This filter is designed to absorb harmful gases such as TVOC, smoke, and odors. Ensure it is oriented correctly.
   • Step 3 (HEPA Filter): Install the True HEPA Filter (UZ-HD6HF). This HEPA-13 filter captures ultrafine particles unseen by the human eye, such as PM2.5, pollen, and dust mites. Ensure proper orientation.
5. Compartiment tancat: Securely close the front panel or filter cover.

Operating Principles of the Filters

This filter set employs a multi-stage filtration system to effectively purify the air:

• Pre-filtre: The first line of defense, capturing larger airborne particles such as dust, lint, pet hair, and other debris. This helps to extend the life of the subsequent filters.
• Activated Carbon Filter (UZ-HD6DF): Utilizes high-quality activated carbon granules to absorb and neutralize various gaseous pollutants, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), cooking odors, pet odors, and smoke. This significantly improves air freshness.
• True HEPA Filter (UZ-HD6HF): A high-efficiency particulate air filter designed to capture 99.97% of airborne particles as small as 0.3 microns. This includes common allergens like pollen, dust mites, mold spores, and pet dander, as well as fine smoke particles and PM2.5.

Manteniment

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and efficiency of your air purifier and filters.

• Neteja del prefiltre: The pre-filter should be cleaned regularly (e.g., every 2-4 weeks, depending on air quality and usage) by vacuuming or rinsing with water. Ensure it is completely dry before re-installing.
• HEPA and Activated Carbon Filter Replacement: These filters are not washable and must be replaced periodically. The replacement interval typically ranges from 6 to 12 months, depending on usage, air quality, and your air purifier's indicator. A dirty filter will reduce airflow and purification efficiency.
• Inspecció visual: Periodically inspect the filters for visible dirt, discoloration, or damage. Replace them if they appear heavily soiled or damaged, even if the replacement indicator has not yet activated.

Resolució de problemes

If you experience issues with your air purifier after filter replacement, consider the following:

• Flux d'aire reduït: Ensure all filters are installed correctly and the filter compartment is securely closed. Check if the pre-filter is clogged and requires cleaning.
• Olors persistents: Verify that the Activated Carbon Filter is installed correctly. If odors persist after a new carbon filter installation, the source of the odor in the room may be overwhelming the filter's capacity or the filter may be defective.
