4.1. Device Layout and Indicators

Figure 4: HT107 Panel Layout and Indicator Meanings
The device features an LCD display, indicator lights, and a leakage test button. The indicator lights provide a quick visual reference for the socket's wiring status:
| Indicator Lights (Left to Right) | Socket Connection Detection |
|---|---|
| ● ● ○ (Red, Red, Off) | Connexió correcta |
| ● ○ ○ (Red, Off, Off) | Terra oberta |
| ○ ● ○ (Off, Red, Off) | Obriu neutre |
| ○ ● ● (Off, Red, Red) | Live/ground reverse |
| ● ○ ● (Red, Off, Red) | Live/neutral reverse |
| ● ● ● (Red, Red, Red) | Live/ground reverse, missing ground |
Note: '●' indicates the light is ON, '○' indicates the light is OFF.
5. Configuració i funcionament
5.1. Configuració inicial
- Unpack the Habotest HT107 Socket Tester and ensure all components are present and undamaged.
- Familiarize yourself with the device layout, LCD display, indicator lights, and the RCD test button.
- Ensure the socket tester matches the plug type of your region (HT107B for US, HT107D for EU, HT107E for UK).

5.2. Basic Socket Testing
- Insert the Habotest HT107 Socket Tester firmly into the socket you wish to test.
- Observe the indicator lights and the LCD display. The indicator lights will illuminate in a specific pattern to show the wiring status (refer to Section 4.1, Figure 4).
- The LCD display will show real-time voltage readings (L-N for phase voltage, N-E for leakage voltagi).

5.3. RCD (Residual Current Device) Testing
IMPORTANT: Before performing an RCD test, ensure all household appliances connected to the circuit are turned OFF and verify that the power interruption will not pose any safety hazards. This test will trip the RCD/breaker.
- Insert the tester into a correctly wired three-hole power socket.
- Press the RCD test button (typically held for less than 3 seconds).
- The RCD should trip, cutting power to the socket. This indicates the RCD is functioning correctly.
- If the RCD does not trip, it may be faulty and requires inspection by a qualified electrician.

5.4. Voltage Detection of Neutral Line and Ground Line
El voltage between the neutral line (N) and the ground line (E) should ideally be "0" or close to zero under normal conditions. If the voltage is too high, it may indicate one of the following issues:
- Excessive power consumption, undersized or overlong wires (resulting in high resistance).
- Loose or poor contact of the neutral line joint, or oxidation.
- Disconnection or severe oxidation of the neutral line, causing the electrical circuit to be incomplete. The voltage drop between the neutral line and the ground line is determined by the load impedance of the electrical appliance.

6. Manteniment
- Mantingueu el dispositiu net i sec. Netegeu-lo amb un drap suau i sec.amp drap si cal. No utilitzeu productes de neteja abrasius ni dissolvents.
- Store the tester in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and corrosive materials.
- Eviteu deixar caure o sotmetre el dispositiu a forts impactes.
- Regularly check the plug pins for any signs of wear or damage.
7. Troubleshooting Common Wiring Faults
The HT107 Pro Socket Tester helps identify various wiring issues. Refer to the indicator light patterns (Section 4.1) for diagnosis. Below are common issues and their implications:

7.1. Common Hidden Risks in Home Electrical Installations

Figure 10: Common Wiring Faults and Their Detection
- Missing Ground Wire/Neutral Wire: The ground wire or neutral wire of the socket is not connected. This is a critical safety measure.
- Misconnection: Live Wire and Ground Wire / Live Wire and Neutral Wire: Incorrect connections during circuit installation can lead to significant safety hazards.
- Phase-Ground Fault and Lack of Ground: The live wire and ground wire are reversed, and there is a lack of ground wire connection.
If any wiring faults are detected, consult a qualified electrician immediately to rectify the issues and ensure electrical safety.
