Introducció

This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your SOYO X99 Motherboard Set. This set is designed for high-performance computing, featuring an LGA2011-3 socket compatible with Intel Xeon E Series processors, DDR4 memory support, and NVMe M.2 storage capabilities. Please read this manual thoroughly before proceeding with installation or operation.

The SOYO X99 Motherboard Set is available in different configurations. Please verify your package contents against the list below:

• Motherboard Only: 1x SY-X99 D4 Motherboard
• Motherboard + CPU: 1x SY-X99 D4 Motherboard, 1x Intel Xeon E5 2630 V4 CPU
• Motherboard + CPU + RAM: 1x SY-X99 D4 Motherboard, 1x Intel Xeon E5 2630 V4 CPU, 1x DDR4 16GB 2133MHz RAM module

Motherboard Layout and Connectors

Familiarize yourself with the various ports and connectors on the motherboard before installation.

Instal·lació de la CPU

Assegureu-vos que la CPU estigui en bon estat i que els pins de la placa base estiguin correctes abans de la instal·lació.

1. Obriu el ganxo de clau al sòcol de la CPU.
2. Estireu la vareta fins a la posició completament oberta.
3. Remove the plastic cover from the CPU socket.
4. Carefully insert the CPU into the slot, ensuring it corresponds to the CPU notch. Hold the bottom edge of the CPU tightly.
5. Premeu suaument la barra d'acoblament contra la placa de suport i tanqueu la barra d'acoblament.
6. Enganxeu la vareta de pressió amb el ganxo del lateral de la base.

Notice: As long as the CPU is not installed, place a plastic protective cover over the CPU slot to prevent damage.

Instal·lació de memòria (RAM)

When installing memory, ensure the CPU you are using has anti-overheating chips. There is only one gap in the center of the memory module, which must align with the slot for correct installation.

1. Inseriu el mòdul de memòria verticalment a la ranura DIMM.
2. Push it in until the gold finger of the memory module is fully inserted. The plastic bayonet on both sides will automatically close.

Important Note on RAM Compatibility:

This motherboard supports DDR4 ECC memory. The RAM provided in the "Motherboard + CPU + RAM" bundle is specifically designed for server boards and may not function correctly on standard desktop systems. Please ensure you use compatible DDR4 ECC RAM.

CPU and System Fan Installation

The fan power ports (CPUFAN, SYSFAN1) support +12V system cooling fans. If your motherboard has an integrated system hardware monitoring chip, use a specially designed fan that supports fan speed detection for the CPU fan control feature.

1. Abans d'instal·lar el ventilador, assegureu-vos que els quatre claus estiguin correctament instal·lats.
2. Align the mounting holes on the fan and mainboard.
3. Premeu fort el ventilador fins que els quatre ganxos quedin encastats als quatre forats de la placa base.

System fans can be plugged into any available system fan port.

Connecting Front Panel Headers

The motherboard provides links to the chassis panel and indicators, as well as USB and audio interfaces.

• F_PANEL/ALTAVEU: Connect the power switch, reset switch, power LED, and HDD LED from your chassis to these pins.
• USB1/USB2: These interfaces are compatible with I/O front panel connection specifications and connect to high-speed USB peripheral interfaces (e.g., USB HDD, digital camera, MP3 player).

Requisits d'alimentació

This platform requires a powerful power supply. Ensure your power supply is sufficient to support all components. A minimum of a 500W brand power supply is recommended.

Bateria CMOS

NOTICE: The CR2032 3V battery is not included in the package and will be removed before shipping due to logistics requirements. Please purchase and install this battery separately for proper system operation and BIOS settings retention.

Configuració de la BIOS

Després d'engegar l'ordinador, el sistema iniciarà el procés POST (Power-On Self-Test). Per entrar al programa de configuració de la BIOS, premeu la tecla DEL tecla quan se us demani. Per introduir la unitat flash USB per a l'arrencada ràpida, premeu F7.

Si l'indicador desapareix ràpidament, podeu reiniciar el sistema prement la tecla RESET clau al xassís o prement Ctrl + Alt + Suprimeix simultàniament.

The Main page in the BIOS menu allows you to configure basic system settings such as time, date, and system language. Refer to the detailed PDF manual for specific menu layouts.

The Boot menu allows you to set various boot options, including the boot order for USB drives and other storage devices. Refer to the detailed PDF manual for specific menu layouts.

Manteniment

• Neteja: Netegeu regularment la pols de la placa base i els components amb aire comprimit. Assegureu-vos que el sistema estigui apagat i desendollat ​​abans de netejar-lo.
• Electricitat estàtica: Always handle the motherboard and components with care, preferably while wearing an anti-static wrist strap, to prevent damage from static discharge.
• Substitució de la bateria CMOS: If your system loses time or BIOS settings are not retained, the CR2032 CMOS battery may need replacement. Power off the system, unplug it, and carefully replace the battery in its socket.

Resolució de problemes

• Sense alimentació/Sense arrencada:
  • Check all power connections, including the 24-pin ATX and 8-pin CPU power connectors.
  • Ensure the power supply meets the minimum 500W requirement.

  • Check front panel connections (Power Switch, Reset Switch).
• Memory Errors:
  • Ensure RAM modules are fully inserted and locked.
  • Confirm that you are using compatible DDR4 ECC memory.
  • Try booting with one RAM stick at a time to identify a faulty module.

  • If BIOS settings are not saving, replace the CR2032 CMOS battery.
  • To reset BIOS settings to default, locate the CMOS clear jumper on the motherboard (refer to the detailed PDF manual for location) or remove the CMOS battery for a few minutes.

  • Check fan connections to the CPUFAN and SYSFAN headers.
  • Ensure fans are properly installed and not obstructed.
