Introducció

The XOSS ARENA is a versatile cycling sensor designed to accurately measure both speed and cadence. Featuring a compact, ultra-thin, and lightweight design, it offers dual ANT+ and Bluetooth connectivity, making it compatible with a wide range of cycling computers, sports watches, and fitness applications. Its IPX7 waterproof rating ensures reliable performance in various weather conditions.

Configuració

1. Activació de la bateria

The CR2032 battery is pre-installed. For first-time use, remove the insulating paper from the battery compartment to activate the sensor.

2. Instal·lació

The sensor can be installed in two modes: Speed Mode or Cadence Mode. The choice of rubber bands and silicone pad should be based on the actual installation situation.

Cadence Mode Installation:

1. Attach the silicone pad onto the back of the sensor.
2. Strap the sensor with the short rubber band onto the left pedal crankarm.
3. Nota: Ensure the gap between the crank and the bicycle frame meets the installation requirements before tightening. No silicone sleeve is required for pedal mode installation if the sensor fits snugly.

Speed Mode Installation:

1. Attach the silicone pad onto the back of the sensor.
2. Strap the sensor with the long rubber band onto the front or rear wheel hub of the bicycle.

3. Vinculació amb dispositius

The XOSS ARENA sensor supports both Bluetooth 5.2 and ANT+ protocols, allowing simultaneous connection to multiple devices.

• Dispositius compatibles: XOSS App, Wahoo, Zwift, Garmin Edge, iGPSPORT BSC100s/BSC200, Bryton G+/G2/G3 plus, other bike GPS computers, and sports watches (e.g., Apple Watch with watchOS 10 or higher).
• Ensure Bluetooth or ANT+ is enabled on your receiving device.
• Cerca the XOSS ARENA sensor in your device's sensor pairing menu.
• Select the sensor to pair.

Instruccions de funcionament

1. Automatic Wake-up

The sensor features an automatic wake-up function:

• Mode de repòs: The device automatically enters a low-power state after remaining stationary for 10 minutes.
• Mode esportiu: It switches to motion mode when movement or vibration is detected, dynamically optimizing sampling frequency to 100 times per second for accurate data.

2. Switching Between Speed and Cadence Modes

The XOSS ARENA sensor's mode (speed or cadence) can be easily switched using the XOSS app. When using the device for the first time, it defaults to cadence mode.

1. Ensure the sensor is connected to the XOSS app.
2. Navigate to the sensor settings within the app.
3. Select either 'Speed mode' or 'Cadence mode' as desired.
4. For speed mode, you may need to set the tire circumference in the app for accurate readings.

3. Indicador de nivell de bateria

The sensor provides a visual indication of its battery level:

• Llum verda: El nivell de bateria és superior al 10%.

Manteniment

1. Substitució de la bateria

The sensor uses a CR2032 button battery. To replace it, carefully open the battery compartment, remove the old battery, and insert a new CR2032 battery with the positive (+) side facing up. Ensure the compartment is securely closed to maintain water resistance.

2. Neteja

Netegeu el sensor amb un drap suauamp drap per eliminar la brutícia i les restes. Eviteu utilitzar productes químics agressius o materials abrasius que puguin danyar el casing o segells.

3. Classificació impermeable

The XOSS ARENA sensor has an IPX7 waterproof rating, meaning it is protected against immersion in water up to 1 meter for 30 minutes. It is resistant to heavy rain and mud splashes, but it is not recommended for prolonged underwater use.

Resolució de problemes

• Sensor not connecting/pairing:
  • Ensure the battery is active (insulating paper removed) and has sufficient charge (check LED indicator).
  • Make sure Bluetooth/ANT+ is enabled on your receiving device.
  • Try restarting both the sensor (by removing and reinserting the battery) and your receiving device.
  • Ensure the sensor is within range of your device.
• Only Cadence Mode working (or vice versa):
  • The sensor defaults to cadence mode on first use. Use the XOSS app to switch between speed and cadence modes as needed.
  • Verify the correct mode is selected in the XOSS app or your cycling computer's settings.
• Lectures inexactes:
  • For speed mode, ensure the tire circumference is correctly set in the XOSS app or your cycling computer.
  • Check that the sensor is securely mounted and not shifting during use.
  • Ensure there are no obstructions between the sensor and the magnet (if applicable, though this sensor is magnetless).

Consells per a l'usuari

• Simultaneous Speed and Cadence: To obtain both speed and cadence data simultaneously, you will need to purchase and install two separate sensors. One sensor can only operate in either speed or cadence mode at a time.
• App for Configuration: Always use the XOSS app for initial setup and to switch between speed and cadence modes. This ensures optimal performance and accurate data.
• Durada de la bateria: Actual battery life can vary depending on the working environment and usage patterns. Regularly check the battery indicator to avoid unexpected power loss during rides.
