1. Introducció

This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your XIAOMI Outdoor Camera CW500 Dual Camera Version. Please read this manual carefully before use and retain it for future reference to ensure proper functionality and safety.

The XIAOMI Outdoor Camera CW500 Dual is a versatile security camera featuring dual 4MP lenses, PTZ capabilities, smart full-color night vision, IP66 weather resistance, AI human and vehicle detection, dual-band Wi-Fi 6, and a built-in MJA1 security chipset for enhanced privacy.

Note: The adapter type (EU, US, UK, AU) will be sent according to your selected plug type. Network cables and MicroSD cards are not included and must be purchased separately if needed.

4. Guia de configuració

4.1. Instal·lació d'una targeta MicroSD

Assegureu-vos que la càmera estigui desconnectada. Obriu la coberta impermeable a sobre de la ranura de la targeta microSD i inseriu una targeta microSD amb els punts de contacte cap avall.

PRECAUCIÓ:

• Unplug the camera when inserting or removing the microSD card.
• Use a microSD card from a qualified brand (the camera supports a microSD card of 16 GB to 256 GB).
• MicroSD cards of 64GB and above may need to be formatted via Settings > Manage storage on the camera's plug-in page in the Xiaomi Home app.
• It is recommended that the microSD card has a read/write speed of no less than U1/Class 10.

Nota: Després d'instal·lar o treure la targeta microSD, assegureu-vos de tornar a col·locar correctament la coberta impermeable a la ranura de la targeta per evitar que l'aigua entri a la càmera i n'afecti l'ús normal.

4.2. Muntatge de la càmera

The camera supports suspended, side, and pole mounting. For pole mounting, general-purpose 8 mm and 12 mm clamps need to be purchased separately.

Instruccions de muntatge a la paret:

1. Paste the mounting template sticker where the camera needs to be installed, and drill four holes in the wall with a drilling tool according to the locating holes on the sticker. The hole should be approximately 6 mm in diameter and 40 mm in depth.
2. Insert four plastic wall plugs into the drilled holes.
3. Place the mount against the wall, insert screws into the holes, and drill them into the plastic wall plugs.

4.3. Powering On and App Connection

1. Insert the power adapter cable into the power port to automatically turn on the camera. The indicator light will be yellow and a voice prompt will be heard.
2. Download the "Mi Home" app on your smartphone.
3. Open the Mi Home app, tap "+" on the upper right, and then follow the instructions to add your device.
4. Scan the QR code on the body of the camera when prompted by the app.
5. Connect to your Wi-Fi network. If using a wired connection, select "wired connection" in the app. If not connected to a network cable, select "wireless connection".
6. Once connected, the indicator light will turn blue.

NOTA IMPORTANT:

• This product is the Chinese version. You need to change the country to "China" in the "Mi Home" APP settings so that the product can connect normally.
• The language can be set according to your local country.
• If your Mi Home account is connected to other devices in other regions, it cannot be connected to China devices at the same time.
• Please make sure to use the original charging cable of the power adapter provided to connect the camera to avoid the camera not working properly.
• When the camera is turned on, do not turn the dome camera lens manually to force it to rotate. If the positioning of the lens is inaccurate, please calibrate it in the Xiaomi Home app.

5. Instruccions de funcionament

The XIAOMI Outdoor Camera CW500 Dual offers a range of features for comprehensive monitoring. All functions are controlled via the Mi Home app.

5.1. Dual Camera Monitoring

The camera combines a fixed lens and a Pan-Tilt-Zoom (PTZ) lens. The fixed camera monitors a static area, while the PTZ camera can be remotely controlled via the Mi Home app to cover various angles. Both cameras can detect and monitor simultaneously.

5.2. AI Human and Vehicle Detection

The camera features AI-powered human and vehicle detection. When motion is detected in the monitored area, the Mi Home app will instantly send an alert to your smartphone and record video footage. This helps protect your property at all times.

*Xiaomi Cloud storage (dual-path cloud storage) is a paid feature. AI features may vary depending on environmental factors. Please refer to actual use.

5.3. Smart Night Vision

Each camera is equipped with two white lights and two infrared night vision lights. When a human is detected at night, these supplementary lights automatically turn on to provide colored footage, enhancing visibility and identification.

5.4. Defensa activa i àudio bidireccional

When the camera detects an intruder, it can automatically trigger a sound alarm with high-frequency flashing lights to deter them. Simultaneously, an alert and video will be sent to your Mi Home app.

The built-in high-sensitivity microphone and high-power speakers, boosted with AI noise cancellation algorithms, allow for clear two-way voice communication, even in noisy outdoor environments.

5.6. Dual Time-Lapse Recording

Utilize both cameras to capture time-lapse photography from different angles simultaneously. For example, record blooming flowers with one camera and a distant sunrise/sunset with the other.

6. Manteniment

• The camera is IP66 dust and water-resistant. However, it cannot be immersed in water.
• The accompanying power adapter is not waterproof and is for indoor use only. Do not use the power adapter in extremely humid environments or locations that may cause water ingress.
• Clean the camera lens and body with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
• To improve performance, do not place the camera where its lens faces or is next to a reflective surface (e.g., glass, white walls), as this can cause overly bright images or dark areas.
• Do not install the camera near microwave ovens or other objects that may affect its Wi-Fi signal.

7. Solució De Problemes

7.1. Reinicialització del dispositiu

If you need to switch the network or the Xiaomi Account to which the camera is connected, please delete the camera from the Xiaomi Home app and then bind it again. Resetting the camera will not delete any data on the microSD card.

To reset the device: After the camera is powered on, press and hold the reset button for approximately 7 seconds until the indicator light keeps orange and a voice prompt indicates a successful reset.

7.2. Problemes comuns

• Camera not turning on or working properly: Ensure you are using the original power adapter and cable. Check the power connection.
• Connection issues (yellow indicator light):
  • Ensure the Mi Home app region is set to "China mainland" for this Chinese version product.

  • If connecting via Wi-Fi, ensure you are connecting to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network (this device only supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi for initial setup, though it supports dual-band Wi-Fi 6 for operation).

  • If the camera was previously connected to a different network or account, perform a device reset.
• Lens positioning inaccurate: Do not manually force the dome camera lens to rotate. Calibrate it within the Xiaomi Home app.
• Night vision issues (filter change with click sound): This is normal. When the night vision feature is enabled, the change of ambient light will trigger the filter to change, accompanied by a slight click sound.
• Image quality issues (overly bright/dark areas): Avoid placing the camera where its lens faces or is next to reflective surfaces like glass or white walls.

• If you experience connection difficulties, try resetting the camera and re-pairing it with the app.
