1. Introducció

The ZTE MF79U Wingle is a versatile 4G LTE USB modem that also functions as a portable WiFi router. It allows you to connect multiple devices to a 4G mobile network. When plugged into a power adapter or mobile power source, it broadcasts a Wi-Fi signal, enabling secure connections for up to 8 devices via Wi-Fi and one device via its USB interface. This manual provides essential information for setting up, operating, and maintaining your MF79U device.

Important Note: Before purchasing or using, please ensure that the carrier frequency bands of your telecom operator are compatible with the device's supported frequency bands.

The device features two LED indicators for LTE status and Wi-Fi status. It also includes a Micro SIM card slot, a MicroSD card slot (supporting up to 32GB), and two TS-9 ports for external antennas.

5. Configuració

1. Inseriu la targeta micro SIM: Carefully open the SIM card slot cover and insert your Micro SIM card into the designated slot. Ensure it is correctly oriented.

6.1 Connexió de dispositius mitjançant Wi-Fi

1. Ensure your ZTE MF79U is powered on and has an active cellular connection.
2. Al dispositiu amb Wi-Fi (telèfon intel·ligent, tauleta, ordinador portàtil), cerqueu les xarxes Wi-Fi disponibles.
3. Select the SSID (Wi-Fi name) corresponding to your MF79U.
4. Enter the Wi-Fi password when prompted. This can be found on the device label or packaging.
5. Up to 8 devices can connect simultaneously via Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n, 2.4GHz).

6.2 Connecting Devices via USB

You can connect one device (e.g., a laptop) directly to the MF79U via its USB-A interface for internet access. The device will function as a USB modem.

6.3 Accés a Web Interfície d'usuari (WebIU)

The MF79U features a WebUI for advanced settings and management. To access it:

1. Connect your device to the MF79U via Wi-Fi or USB.
2. Obre a web browser and enter the default IP address (usually 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1, refer to packaging for exact address).
3. Enter the username and password. The default password for the website is unique and typically found on the device packaging. It is crucial to save your packaging as this password is different from the Wi-Fi password.

7. Manteniment

To ensure optimal performance and longevity of your ZTE MF79U:

8. Solució De Problemes

If you encounter issues with your ZTE MF79U, try the following steps:

  • Ensure the Micro SIM card is correctly inserted and active.
  • Check if your carrier's frequency bands are compatible with the device.
  • Verify that you have sufficient data balance or an active plan.
  • Try restarting the device by unplugging and re-plugging it.
