6. Funcionament
Operating the Tongou RCBO is straightforward:
- Encesa: Push the operation handle upwards to the 'ON' position. The status indicator window will show RED, indicating the circuit is active and power is flowing.
- Apagat: Push the operation handle downwards to the 'OFF' position. The status indicator window will show GREEN, indicating the circuit is disconnected and no power is flowing.
- Descoberta automàtica: In the event of an overload, short circuit, or earth leakage, the RCBO will automatically trip, moving the handle to the 'OFF' position and displaying GREEN in the status window. This action instantly cuts off power to the affected circuit, preventing damage and ensuring safety.

- First, identify and rectify the cause of the trip (e.g., unplug faulty appliance, fix short circuit).
- Once the fault is cleared, push the operation handle fully downwards to reset the internal mechanism.
- Then, push the handle upwards to the 'ON' position to restore power. If the RCBO trips again immediately, a fault still exists in the circuit or connected appliances. Do not repeatedly attempt to reset without addressing the underlying issue.
