The multimeter requires batteries (not included). To install or replace batteries:

- For high current (10A) measurements: Connect the red lead to the 10A jack (5).

The CEM DT-663H offers a variety of measurement functions. Always select the correct function and range before making a measurement.
General Measurement Steps:
- Connect the test leads correctly (black to COM, red to appropriate input).
- Turn the rotary function switch (4) to the desired measurement function.
- If necessary, press the MODE button (2) to select AC/DC or other sub-functions.
- If the meter is not auto-ranging, select an appropriate range using the RANGE button (3).
- Connect the test probes to the circuit or component to be measured.
- Read the value on the LCD display (1).
- After measurement, disconnect the probes and turn the rotary switch to OFF.
Specific Measurement Functions:
Voltage (AC/DC) Measurement:
- Turn the rotary switch to 'V~' for AC Voltage or 'V-' for DC Voltage.
- Connect the red probe to the VΩHzCAPmAµA jack and the black probe to the COM jack.
- Connect the probes in parallel across the component or circuit to measure voltage.
Current (AC/DC) Measurement (DT-663H only):
- Turn the rotary switch to 'A~' for AC Current or 'A-' for DC Current.
- Connect the red probe to the 10A jack for high current or VΩHzCAPmAµA jack for mA/µA, and the black probe to the COM jack.
- Connect the probes in series with the circuit to measure current. Ensure the circuit is broken to insert the meter.
Resistance (Ω) Measurement:
- Turn the rotary switch to 'Ω'.
- Connect the red probe to the VΩHzCAPmAµA jack and the black probe to the COM jack.
- Connect the probes across the component to measure resistance. Ensure the circuit is de-energized.

Battery Test (DT-663H only):
- Turn the rotary switch to the battery test function (usually indicated by a battery symbol).
- Connect the red probe to the VΩHzCAPmAµA jack and the black probe to the COM jack.
- Connect the probes to the battery terminals, observing polarity. The display will show the battery voltage.
Funcions especials:
- MANTENIR: Press the HOLD button (7) to freeze the current reading on the display. Press again to release.
