1. Introducció

Thank you for choosing the GIRIER Smart Dimmer Module. This device allows you to transform your traditional lighting into a smart system, offering stepless dimming, app control, voice control, and timing functions. It is available in both WiFi and ZigBee versions to suit your smart home ecosystem. This manual provides detailed instructions for installation, operation, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance and safety.

2. Informació de seguretat

• Desconnecteu sempre l'alimentació a l'interruptor automàtic abans d'instal·lar o fer el manteniment del dispositiu.

5. Configuració i instal·lació

5.1. Llista de comprovació prèvia a la instal·lació

• For the ZigBee version, a Tuya ZigBee hub is required for smart features.

5.4. Instal·lació física

1. Turn off the main power at your circuit breaker.
2. Remove your existing light switch from the wall box.
3. Connect the wires to the dimmer module according to the appropriate wiring diagram (Figure 3 or Figure 4). Ensure all connections are secure.
4. Carefully place the dimmer module into the wall box. Its compact size allows for easy installation without replacing your original switch.
5. Reinstall your original light switch cover.

5.5. Emparellament d'aplicacions

1. Download and open the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app.
2. Registreu-vos o inicieu sessió al vostre compte.
3. For ZigBee version: Ensure your Tuya ZigBee hub is powered on and connected to your network.
4. In the app, tap '+' to add a new device.
5. Follow the in-app instructions to put the dimmer module into pairing mode (usually by pressing the physical switch multiple times or holding a button on the module).
6. The app will detect the device. Select it and complete the pairing process.

6. Instruccions de funcionament

6.1. Stepless Dimming

• Via Physical Switch: Use your existing wall switch to turn the lights on/off. Depending on the switch type and configuration, you may also be able to adjust brightness.
• Mitjançant l'aplicació: Open the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app. Select your dimmer module. You will find controls to turn the light on/off and a slider for stepless brightness adjustment (0-100%).
• Last Status Memory: The module remembers the last brightness setting when powered off and restores it upon power restoration.

6.2. Control remot de l'aplicació

Once paired, you can control your lights from anywhere using the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app on your smartphone. This includes turning lights on/off and adjusting brightness.

6.3. Control per veu

The dimmer module is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Home Assistant. Link your Tuya Smart/Smart Life account to your voice assistant app. Then, use simple voice commands:

• "Alexa, dim the kitchen light."

6.4. Funció de sincronització

Set schedules within the app to automate your lighting:

• Adjust brightness levels for different times of day (e.g., dim in the evening).
• Create an "inching timer" for short bursts of light.
• Sync lighting with sunrise/sunset.

6.5. Control de grup

In the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app, you can create groups of multiple dimmer modules. This allows you to control several lights simultaneously with a single tap or voice command, simplifying control over entire rooms or areas.

6.6. Relay States Function

The module supports a Relay States Function, which determines the light's behavior after a power outage:

• Mode diari: Returns to the last known state before the power failure.
• Llum apagada: Stays off after power is restored.
• Recorda l'últim estat: Recalls the last brightness level before the power interruption.

7. Manteniment

• Mantingueu el dispositiu net i lliure de pols. Feu servir un drap suau i sec per netejar-lo.
• Do not use liquid cleaners or sprays.
• Assegureu-vos que l'entorn de funcionament es mantingui dins dels rangs de temperatura i humitat especificats.
• Comproveu regularment si hi ha actualitzacions de firmware a l'aplicació Tuya Smart/Smart Life per garantir un rendiment i una seguretat òptims.

8. Solució De Problemes

8.1. Device Not Pairing

• Assegureu-vos que la vostra xarxa Wi-Fi sigui de 2.4 GHz (5 GHz no és compatible).
• Check if the device is in pairing mode (refer to app instructions for specific indications).
• Make sure the device is within range of your Wi-Fi router (for WiFi version) or ZigBee hub (for ZigBee version).
• Verify that your ZigBee hub is properly connected and online (for ZigBee version).
• Restart your router/hub and try pairing again.

8.2. Lights Not Dimming or Responding

• Confirm that the light fixture uses a DC0-10V dimming driver. This module is not compatible with other dimming protocols or non-dimmable lights.
• Check all wiring connections for looseness or incorrect placement.
• Ensure the module is receiving power.
• Verify the module is connected to the app and shows an online status.
• If using voice control, ensure the voice assistant is correctly linked to your Tuya Smart/Smart Life account.

8.3. Intermittent Connectivity

• Improve Wi-Fi signal strength by moving the router closer or using a Wi-Fi extender.
• For ZigBee, ensure the hub is centrally located and there are enough ZigBee devices to create a strong mesh network.
