This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your SOYO X99 Gaming Motherboard Kit. This kit is designed for high-performance computing, supporting Intel Xeon E5 V3/V4 series processors, DDR4 memory, and high-speed M.2 NVME storage. Before you begin, ensure you have a clean, static-free workspace. Handle components by their edges to avoid touching sensitive contacts.
1. Instal·lació de la CPU
The motherboard supports Intel LGA 2011-3 socket processors, such as the Xeon E5 2640 V4 included in some kits. Carefully open the CPU socket retention mechanism, align the CPU with the triangular mark on the socket, and gently place it in. Close the retention mechanism to secure the CPU.
2. RAM (Memory) Installation
The motherboard features four DDR4 DIMM slots, supporting up to 128GB of memory in dual-channel configuration. Note that server memory (REG ECC) and desktop memory cannot be mixed. Ensure you use compatible memory types.

The motherboard provides multiple storage options:
- SSD M.2 NVME/NGFF: There are two M.2 slots. One supports both NGFF (SATA) and NVME SSDs via a jumper switch, while the other is NVME-only. Insert the M.2 SSD into the slot and secure it with the provided screw.
- SATA 3.0 Devices: Connect SATA hard drives or SSDs to the four SATA 3.0 (6 Gb/s) ports using SATA data cables.

Connect your power supply unit (PSU) to the motherboard:
- Connect the 24-pin ATX main power connector to the corresponding socket on the motherboard.
- Connect the 8-pin ATX12V CPU power connector to the socket near the CPU.

- System Fails to Start After RAM Installation: Ensure memory modules are correctly seated, especially in the black primary slots first. Verify that you are not mixing server (REG ECC) and desktop memory.
- Lectures de temperatura inexactes: The motherboard may not have a dedicated temperature control chip, leading to virtual temperature readings (e.g., 110°-120°C) in software. Use a physical thermometer to measure actual component temperatures; normal operating temperature should not exceed 50°C.
