Introducció

The ANCEL L3000 EVAP Smoke Machine is a professional automotive diagnostic tool designed to quickly and accurately detect leaks in various vehicle pipe systems. It features a built-in air pump, digital pressure gauge, and dual testing modes (Air Mode and Smoke Mode) to simplify the leak detection process. This manual provides detailed instructions for the safe and effective use of your ANCEL L3000.

Instruccions de configuració

1. Muntar components: Attach the delivery hose, power socket, and hook to the smoke machine.
2. Add Test Oil: Unscrew the oil filler cap. Use the provided funnel to add 10ml-20ml of test oil (mineral oil or baby oil) into the machine. Ensure the oil level is between the MIN and MAX guidelines visible through the peephole on the side.
3. Connecteu-vos al vehicle: Disconnect the pipes of the system you intend to test.
4. Connexió d'alimentació: Connect the smoke machine’s power cord to a 12V vehicle battery. Connect the red clip to the battery positive terminal and the black clip to a good ground point. The Power LED should illuminate.
5. Introduce Smoke Hose: Insert the smoke delivery hose into the pipeline to be tested using the appropriate adapter cone.

Instruccions de funcionament

1. Activate Air Mode: Press the "Air Control Switch" to start the built-in air pump. Wait a few seconds for the system to pressurize. Observe the digital pressure gauge and flow meter for initial readings.
2. Activate Smoke Mode: Once the system is pressurized, press the "Smoke Control Switch" to activate the smoke generator. The LED indicator will turn green.
3. Adjust Smoke Output: Use the "Flow Dial" to adjust the amount of smoke being produced. This allows for precise control to locate leaks.
4. Locate Leaks: Observe where smoke appears from the system. Any visible smoke indicates a leak point.
5. Monitor Pressure and Flow: The digital display shows the pressure in various units (Psi, Bar, Kpa, kg/cm²), which can be changed using the unit switch. The flow meter indicates the air/smoke flow. A high flow rate with pressure drop indicates a significant leak.
6. Prova completa: Once all leaks are identified and addressed, turn off the smoke generator and then the air pump. Disconnect the power and hoses.

Manteniment

• Comprovació del nivell d'oli: Regularly check the oil level through the peephole on the side of the machine. Refill with mineral oil or baby oil as needed, ensuring it stays between the MIN and MAX marks.
• Neteja: After use, wipe down the machine and accessories with a clean, dry cloth.
• Emmagatzematge: Roll up the smoke delivery hose and power cord and secure them with the Velcro strap for neat storage. Store the device in a cool, dry place.

Troubleshooting & Leak Status Indication

The ANCEL L3000 provides clear indications of leak status through its pressure gauge and flow meter:

• Sense fuga: If the value on the pressure gauge remains unchanged after pressurizing the system, it indicates that there is no leakage.
• Petita fuga: A gradual drop in the pressure gauge value indicates a small leak in the system.
• Fuga massiva: If the pressure gauge value quickly drops to zero, it signifies a large leak in the system.

If the Power LED does not turn on after connecting to the battery, check the power supply connections and ensure they are secure and correctly polarized.

• Cost-Effective Oil: You can use readily available baby oil or mineral oil as test fluid, which is a cost-effective alternative to specialized smoke oils. Pure #5 white oil is also a good choice if available.
• Versatile Adapters: The kit includes various adapters and attachments to ensure compatibility with a wide range of vehicle systems and pipe sizes. Choose the most suitable adapter for a secure connection.
