5. Instruccions de configuració
5.1 Desembalatge i inspecció
Carefully unpack all components and inspect for any visible damage. Ensure all parts listed in the package contents are present.

5.2 Muntatge del motor
- Identify the mounting points on your application (e.g., efoil mast, boat transom).
- Align the motor's mounting holes with your application's mounting structure. The motor features 4-M4 mounting holes on a 42mm bolt circle diameter (refer to Figure 1).
- Secure the motor using M4 metric bolts (not included). Ensure the bolts are of appropriate length to securely fasten the motor without damaging internal components.
- Verify the motor is firmly attached and does not wobble.
5.3 Instal·lació de l'hèlix
- Ensure the motor shaft is clean and free of debris.
- Slide the propeller onto the motor shaft. Ensure the propeller's shaft hole (10.2mm diameter) matches the motor's 12mm shaft (refer to Figure 2 for propeller dimensions). Some propellers may require an adapter or specific shaft type (round or stepped).

Figure 8: Motor with Round Shaft option.
Figure 9: Motor with Stepped Shaft option. - Secure the propeller using the provided nut and washer. Tighten firmly but do not overtighten.
- Check that the propeller spins freely without obstruction.
5.4 Connexions elèctriques
Refer to Figure 1 for the detailed wiring diagram.
- Connexió d'alimentació: Connect the motor's XT90 male power plug to a compatible XT90 female connector from your battery system. Ensure correct polarity (red to positive, black to negative). The power cord is 2*12AWG.
- Ports de comunicació:
- PPM (Pulse Position Modulation): Connect the 3-pin PPM cable to your receiver or control unit. Pinout: Black (GND), Red (5V), Yellow (SERVO).
- UART (Universal Asynchronous Receiver-Transmitter): Connect the 3-pin UART cable for serial communication. Pinout: White (Rx), Yellow (Tx), Black (GND), Red (5V).
- USB (Type-C): Use the Type-C USB port for connecting to a computer for ESC configuration and firmware updates using VESC Tool.

Connect via the USB port to a computer running VESC Tool for initial setup, motor detection, and parameter adjustments (e.g., current limits, battery cutoffs, control modes).
6. Instruccions de funcionament
6.1 Llista de verificació prèvia a l'operació
- Assegureu-vos que totes les connexions elèctriques estiguin segures i aïllades.
- Verify the propeller is correctly installed and free from damage.
- Comproveu el nivell de càrrega de la bateria.
- Confirm your remote control (if using PPM) is paired and functioning correctly.
6.2 Arrencada del motor
- Power on your remote control first, then connect the battery to the motor's XT90 plug.
- The ESC will typically perform a self-test, indicated by a series of beeps.
- Slowly increase throttle input from your remote control. The motor should start smoothly due to the precise hall sensor detection.
- Observe motor behavior for any unusual noises, vibrations, or overheating.
6.3 modes de control
The built-in ESC supports BLDC and FOC (Field-Oriented Control) modes. FOC generally offers smoother, quieter operation and better efficiency, while BLDC can provide higher top-end power. Configure your preferred mode using VESC Tool.
7. Manteniment
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your Flipsky motor.
- Després de cada ús:
- Rinse the motor with fresh water, especially after saltwater use, to prevent corrosion.
- Inspect the propeller for any damage, chips, or entanglement with debris.
- Check all cables and connectors for wear, fraying, or corrosion.
- Periodic Checks (Monthly/Seasonally):
- Inspect motor mounting bolts for tightness.
- Check the motor shaft for any signs of bending or excessive play.
- Listen for unusual noises from the bearings during operation. While NMB bearings are durable, extreme conditions may require inspection.
- Ensure the braided sleeve on the power cable is intact and providing protection.
- Emmagatzematge:
- Store the motor in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- If storing for extended periods, ensure the motor is clean and dry.
8. Solució De Problemes
This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your motor.
| Problema | Causa possible | Solució |
