2. Compatibilitat

This remote control is designed for use with HORMANN BS Series BiSecur systems operating at 868MHz. It is compatible with the following models:

• HORMANN HS1-868-BS
• HORMANN HS4-868-BS
• HORMANN HS5-868-BS
• HORMANN HSE1-868-BS
• HORMANN HSE2-868-BS
• HORMANN HSE4-868-BS
• HORMANN HSP4-868-BS

Important Note on Encoding Method:

The factory default encoding method for this remote is Rolling Code (Blue LED). If your original remote control uses a Fixed Code (Red LED), this remote will NOT be compatible and will not work.

3. Configuració i programació

There are two primary methods for setting up your new remote control:

3.1 Cloning from an Original Remote (Rolling Code)

If your original remote is in working order and uses a Rolling Code (Blue LED), you can clone its code to the new remote.

1. Prepara el nou comandament a distància: Press and hold the button on the new remote control where you intend to store the code. While holding it, press any other button 3 times. Continue holding the first button until the LED illuminates red for 10 seconds. Release all buttons.



2. Comandaments a distància de posició: Place the original remote control to the left of the new remote, as close as possible (0-20 mm distance is ideal).



3. Iniciar la clonació: Press the button on the original remote control that you wish to program. Hold it until the LED on the new remote alternates flashing in red and blue. Check if the LED of the new remote is flashing blue. If not, try moving it closer to the original remote.



4. Complete Learning: The learning procedure will be finished when the new remote's LED flashes rapidly in blue. Release all buttons.

3.2 Learning with Your Receiver (if Original Remote is Lost)

If your original remote control is lost, you can program the new remote directly with your receiver. The learning method is the same as for your original remote control. Refer to your receiver's manual for specific instructions on how to put it into learning mode.

Important:

If your receiver is in fixed code mode, you need to switch the remote control mode to fixed code (see section 3.4) before attempting to learn with the receiver.

3.3 Remote Control Reset Procedure

To assign a new radio code to each button of the remote control, follow these steps:

3. While holding the button, insert the battery. Observe the LED indicators:
   • The LED slowly flashes blue for 4 seconds.
   • The LED flashes quickly blue for 2 seconds.
   • The LED illuminates blue for a long time.
4. Release the button. All radio codes are now newly assigned.

Nota:

If the button is released prematurely during step 3, no new radio codes will be assigned.

3.4 Setting Remote to Fixed Code 868MHz Mode

This procedure is only necessary if your receiver operates on a fixed code system at 868MHz.

1. Perform the Remote Control Reset Procedure (Section 3.3).
2. Immediately after completing the reset (without releasing the button prematurely), continue pressing the button. Observe the LED indicators:
   • The LED slowly flashes blue for 4 seconds.
   • The LED flashes rapidly blue for 2 seconds.
   • The LED illuminates blue for a long time.
   • The LED slowly flashes red for 4 seconds.
   • The LED flashes rapidly red for 2 seconds.
   • The LED illuminates red for a long time.
3. All radio codes are now newly assigned in Fixed Code 868MHz mode.

Nota:

If the button is released prematurely during this process, the BiSecur (Rolling Code) radio code will remain active.

Once programmed, operate the remote control by pressing the corresponding button for your garage door or gate. The LED indicator will light up during transmission.

Special Note for "Type 2" Remote:

For the "Type 2" variant of this remote control, the button labeled "1" is for decoration only and does not have any functional purpose.

5. Manteniment

The remote control uses a standard battery (included). When the remote's range decreases or the LED indicator becomes dim, it's time to replace the battery. Refer to the device's casing for instructions on how to open it and replace the battery. Ensure correct polarity when inserting the new battery.

5.2 Cura i neteja

Clean the remote control with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Keep the remote control dry and away from extreme temperatures.

• Remote not programming (LED not flashing blue): Ensure the original remote is placed very close (0-20 mm) to the new remote during the cloning process.
• New remote not working after programming:
  • Verify that your original remote uses a Rolling Code (Blue LED). If it uses a Fixed Code (Red LED), this remote is not compatible.
  • Ensure the programming steps were followed precisely. A premature release of buttons during reset or fixed code setting can prevent proper assignment of codes.
  • If programming directly with the receiver, confirm the receiver is in learning mode and the new remote is set to the correct code type (Rolling Code or Fixed Code 868MHz) as required by your receiver.

• Patience During Programming: The LED indicators provide crucial feedback during programming. Observe them carefully and do not release buttons prematurely.
• Botó decoratiu: If you have the "Type 2" remote, remember that the button labeled "1" is purely aesthetic and has no function.
