1. Introducció

This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your MACHINIST X99 U9 motherboard. Designed for high-performance computing, this Micro-ATX motherboard supports Intel LGA 2011-3 Xeon E5 V4 series processors and DDR4 memory, offering robust features for gaming, audio/video production, office tasks, and more.

3. Especificacions

4. Configuració i instal·lació

Before you begin, ensure you have a stable, static-free environment. Always handle components by their edges to avoid damaging sensitive parts.

• Font d'alimentació: This platform requires a powerful power supply. Ensure your power supply is sufficient to support this platform (at least 500W brand power supply is recommended).

4.3 Instal·lació de la CPU

1. Locate the LGA 2011-3 CPU socket.
2. Obriu el mecanisme de retenció del sòcol de la CPU.

4.4 Instal·lació de memòria (RAM)

The motherboard features four DDR4 memory slots, supporting up to 128GB in a quad-channel configuration.

1. Obriu els clips dels dos extrems de la ranura de memòria.

The motherboard supports both NVMe M.2 SSDs and SATA drives.

4.5.1 NVMe M.2 SSDs

The X99 U9 is equipped with three PCIe 3.0 X4 NVMe M.2 interfaces, each supporting speeds up to 3600MB/s.

4.5.2 SATA Drives

The motherboard provides six SATA 3.0 ports for traditional hard drives and SSDs.

4.6 Expansion Cards (PCIe)

1. Align your expansion card with the desired PCIe slot.

4.7 Connexió de perifèrics i alimentació

• Ports USB: Connect front panel USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 ports to the motherboard headers.

4.8 TPM Module Installation

The TPM interface on the X99 U9 model can only be installed using a TPM2.0 accessory suitable for ASUS 14-pin modules.

5. Instruccions de funcionament

5.1 Primer arrencada

1. Després de completar totes les instal·lacions del maquinari, connecteu el monitor, el teclat i el ratolí.

• Regularly clean dust from your computer case and motherboard using compressed air.

If your system consistently loses time or BIOS settings, the CMOS battery may need replacement. This motherboard uses a standard CR2032 coin cell battery. Ensure the system is powered off and unplugged before replacing the battery.

6.3 VRM Auxiliary Cooling

The motherboard features an embedded 2PIN 5V MOS tube fan for VRM auxiliary cooling. Ensure this fan is not obstructed to help dissipate heat from the power delivery components and maintain CPU performance.

7. Solució De Problemes

7.1 No Power / System Fails to Boot

7.2 Memory Issues (No POST, Beep Codes)

• Single Module Test: If issues persist, try booting with only one memory module installed in different slots to identify a faulty module or slot.
