1. Introducció

4.1 Tauler frontal

5. Guia de configuració

5.1 Connexions físiques

  1. Connect Satellite Antenna: Connect the LNB cable from your satellite dish to the 'LNB IN' port on the receiver.
  2. Connectar-se al televisor: Use an HDMI cable to connect the 'HDMI' port on the receiver to an HDMI input on your television. Alternatively, use RCA cables for analog connection (AUDIO L/R, VIDEO).

5.2 Engegada inicial

6.1 Navegació bàsica

Use the included IR remote control to navigate the receiver's menu and control functions. The remote typically includes:

6.2 Channel Scanning and Tuning

  1. Press the 'Menu' button on the remote.
  2. Navigate to 'Installation' or 'Channel Search'.
  3. Select your satellite configuration (e.g., DiSEqC settings if using multiple LNBs). The receiver supports DiSEqC1.0/1.1/1.2/1.3 (USALS).
  4. Choose 'Blind Scan' or 'Auto Scan' to search for available channels. The receiver supports blind search for comprehensive channel discovery.
  5. Save the scanned channels.

6.3 DVB Functions

  • DVB-S/S2/S2X Support: The receiver is compliant with these standards, allowing reception of various satellite signals.
  • SCPC and MCPC: Capable of receiving both Single Channel Per Carrier and Multiple Channel Per Carrier signals from Ku and C band satellites.
  • H.264/H.265 Decoding: Ensures compatibility with modern video compression standards for high-quality video.

6.4 CA Card Function

The FREESAT V8X-II includes a smart card reader to unlock encrypted programs. Insert your compatible CA card into the designated slot on the front panel.

6.5 Network Functions (Built-in WiFi & Ethernet)

The receiver supports multiple network functions for online content and updates.

  • WiFi integrat: Access network features wirelessly. Navigate to 'Network Settings' in the menu to connect to your WiFi network.
  • Ethernet: For a stable wired connection, plug an Ethernet cable into the LAN port.

6.6 PVR (Personal Video Recorder)

Connect a USB storage device (e.g., USB flash drive or external hard drive) to the USB 2.0 port to record your favorite programs.

6.7 DLNA Projection

The DLNA Projection feature allows you to cast content from your mobile device to your TV screen via the receiver, providing a higher definition picture.

7. Actualització del firmware

The V8X-II supports firmware updates via Online OTA (Over-The-Air) or USB import. Keeping your firmware updated ensures optimal performance and access to new features.

7.1 Online OTA Update

  1. Ensure the receiver is connected to the internet (via WiFi or Ethernet).
  2. Navigate to 'System' or 'Tools' in the main menu.
  3. Select 'Software Upgrade' or 'OTA Update'.
  4. Follow the on-screen prompts to check for and install available updates.

7.2 USB Firmware Update

  1. Baixeu l'últim firmware file (normalment un .bin file) from the official GTMEDIA weblloc a una unitat flash USB.
  2. Insert the USB flash drive into the USB 2.0 port on the receiver.
  3. Navigate to 'System' or 'Tools' in the main menu.
  4. Select 'Software Upgrade' or 'USB Upgrade'.
  5. Trieu el firmware file from your USB drive and confirm the update.
  6. Do NOT power off the device during the update process.

9. Solució De Problemes

  • Sense energia: Check if the power adapter is securely connected to both the receiver and the power outlet. Ensure the ON/OFF switch on the rear panel is in the 'ON' position.
  • Sense senyal: Verify that the LNB IN cable from the satellite dish is properly connected. Check your satellite dish alignment. Perform a channel scan.
  • Sense imatge/so: Ensure the HDMI cable (or RCA cables) is securely connected to both the receiver and the TV. Select the correct input source on your TV. Check TV volume.
  • El control remot no funciona: Comproveu les piles del comandament a distància. Assegureu-vos que no hi hagi cap obstrucció entre el comandament a distància i el sensor d'infrarojos del receptor.
  • Problemes de connexió de xarxa: For WiFi, ensure you have entered the correct password. For Ethernet, check the cable connection to your router. Restart your router and receiver.
  • CA Card Not Recognized: Ensure the CA card is inserted correctly and is compatible with the receiver.

  • Organize Channels: Use the 'Favorite Groups' feature to organize your preferred channels for quick access.
  • Control parental: Utilize the parental lock feature to restrict access to certain channels or content, especially if children are using the device.
