5. Configuració i instal·lació
Mètodes de muntatge:
The AOC AM500MAX monitor arm supports two primary installation methods:
- Fixture Installation (Clamp Tipus): This method is suitable for desktop thicknesses between 15-90mm.
- Perforated Installation (Grommet Type): This method requires a desktop aperture greater than 10mm and is suitable for desktop thicknesses between 15-90mm.

- Install Monitor Bracket: Attach the mounting bracket (D) to the monitor using the M4x12 bolts (a). Tighten the screws by hand. Ensure the VESA holes on your monitor are 75x75mm or 100x100mm.
- Mount Lower Arm: Insert the lower arm (B) onto the desk mounting bracket (A). Ensure it is fully seated.
- Install Upper Arm: Insert the upper arm (C) onto the lower arm (B). Ensure it is fully seated.
- Instal·la el monitor: Carefully attach the monitor by inserting the monitor bracket onto the upper arm mount.
- Gestió de cables: Route the monitor's power and data cables through the integrated cable tray. Ensure there is sufficient cable slack to allow for full range of motion without strain. This arm can accommodate 2 cables with a 6mm diameter or 3 cables with a 3mm diameter.
Bracket Selection Guide and Common Installation Issues:
- Compatibilitat VESA: Ensure your monitor has 75x75mm or 100x100mm VESA holes.
- Unsuitable Desktop Types: Avoid installing on fragile desktops (e.g., marble, glass), desktops with crossbeams/baffles that reduce clamping surface, or desktops with anomalies/inclined edges. Do not install upside down, use suspended side clamps, or reverse the arm's orientation.
- Monitor Back Sunken: If your monitor has a concave design on the back, use the bracket accessory kit with 25mm extension screws. The installation sequence should be: monitor > isolation column > head > long screw.
- Hand Screw Too Long: If an installation screw is too long, use the provided washer (4mm gasket) on the screw.
6. Funcionament i ajust
Ajust de la tensió de la molla:
To adjust the spring tension, first position the arm to a 90° angle. Use the Allen key (b) to adjust the screw:
- Tighten (+): Increase spring tension if the monitor is too heavy or does not hover freely.
- Loosen (-): Decrease spring tension if the monitor is too light or does not hover freely.
Multiple adjustments may be required to achieve the desired free-hovering effect. Do not completely unscrew the adjustment screws.

To adjust the rotation friction, use the Allen key (b) on the designated screw:
- Tighten (+): Increase friction if the arm rotates too easily.
- Loosen (-): Decrease friction if the arm is too stiff to rotate.

Display Angle (Tilt) Adjustment:
To adjust the display's tilt angle, use the Allen key (b) on the tilt mechanism:
- Turn clockwise (+): Increase friction to fix the display angle more securely.
- Turn counter-clockwise (-): Reduce friction to make the display more flexible for tilting.
Do not completely unscrew the adjustment screws.

7. Manteniment
Regularly check whether the fixing screws are tight to ensure stability and safety. Clean the monitor arm with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.

- Monitor Sinks/Doesn't Stay Up: Adjust spring tension by tightening the screw (b) clockwise.
- Monitor Floats/Doesn't Stay Down: Adjust spring tension by loosening the screw (b) counter-clockwise.
- Arm Rotates Too Easily/Stiffly: Adjust the rotation screw (b) to increase or decrease friction as needed.
- Monitor Tilts Too Easily/Stiffly: Adjust the tilt screw (b) to increase or decrease friction as needed.
- Cables Snagging: Ensure cables are routed correctly through the cable management system and have enough slack for full arm movement.

For optimal ergonomic benefits, adjust your monitor arm so that the top of your screen is at or slightly below eye level when you are sitting comfortably.
